Hi, I got my Charge HR on Tueday and I walked so much more than I usually would but I was on holiday this week. I hope I'll keep it up!

Interesting how many of your use educational breaking to annoy tailgaters. If you do that in Germany, you can lose your license! No matter how irresponsible the driver behind you is, if you break without reason and this causes an accident, you're screwed. So mostly, I ignose it these days. If there are only 2 lanes and I…

I'm trying to get into walking, not sure if I'll keep it up. If there's enough daylight left, I walk a 5km stretch out into the fields and then swing around back to my town. I listen to music on one ear because I hate not hearing what's going on around me. I nod at other walkers and smile. If it's already dark outside, I…

My sister was planning to get married this summer but it looks like she won't get the location she wants, so I've got more time to slim down. My family and my brother-in-law to be are very fit people and I'd feel like I'm spoiling the pictures if I looked the way I look now. My sister would be very unhappy if she knew I…

That's a difficult one, isn't it? My mum knows I'm trying to lose weight and the last time I visited, she gave me several jars of high-fat pesto sauce and fancy pasta etc. I was pretty annoyed by that because usually she tells me that I SHOULD be watching what I eat and then I do and she puts yummy things in my larder...…

Good idea! When I started my current job I had a big can of low-cal energy drink every single day, sometimes two and then decided to stop being such a poor role model for my pupils, so I've completely cut them out. If I can, so you can. I won't be giving up booze though. I drink about 1-2 a month and that's usually a small…

I eat a lot of fruit, sugar be damned. Ate there any health reasons why you should be cutting sugar? Have you tried pre-logging for the whole day? I do better when I log all the food for the next day but I usually leave ca 200kcal für an evening snack.

I ordered mine today.

Mostly my friends and family are very supportive but an ex-boyfriend always told me that what I was doing wrong was that I was eating several MEALS a day. He said he only ever had one MEAL and 2 or 3 snacks. Thing is... his "snacks" included sizable bowls of chocolatey cereal whereas my big-looking meals were mainly…

You know, if that's how he thinks, then I'm probably going to notice pretty soon. I met some really nice guys while online-dating and with a fair few of them, it was me who contacted them first. Read the profile and made the effort to click and find something nice to say. Yeah, some of them did try to get me to bed soonish…

I tend to have that problem, too, so I often pre-log for the whole day. For example, I had some meat and veg left over yesterday and I logged an approximate account but the portion wasn't enough for dinner, so I logged it for lunch. I knew I would be having lunch very late, so my usual apple wouldn't cut it, so I prepped a…

I totally agree with not giving out real life info too soon but why should I wait until an interesting man sends a message? If he's the kind of guy who needs to feel he's chasing me, then he's not the right kind of guy for me! And yes, of course I decide when to write back, but so should the other person in the…

Hey but don't let extra pounds stop you. Due to privacy reasons I never have proper pictures online but when I last used okcupid I sent out pictures to guys who had already said they wanted to meet after messaging for a while. All of them still wanted to meet. All of them seemed to find me attractive, tummy, big legs and…

Breakfast and lunch. A small apple, a babybel, some cranberries and seeds for snacking. And then carrot salad and chicken for lunch. Dressing in the blue container and sesame seeds for sprinkling in the lid. Ca 510kcal.

Hey there, you could also take your measurements today and check them once a week. I feel your pain btw - I had to have foot surgery twice and the first time I was basically sitting on my bum for 8 weeks.

Thank you for the encouragment!

Since I stopped buying junkfood, I've been withdrawing 50€ (ca 55$) per week for groceries and toiletries. Most of the time I do ok with that. I try not to eat too much meat and I bulk-buy fish filets. If I don't watch out, I tend to spend too much on eating out. I know next month and March will be horrible because I have…

Thank you. One of my colleagues looked longingly at the wraps so she got one, too. Two questions: is the dressing pod leakproof? And how do you clean it?

My first proper bento! An apple, some lychees, mini babybel and lettuce rolls filled with peppers, carrots, cucumber and chicken ham.

The question is WHY do you eat? Is it because you skip breakfast and lunch and get home and are starving? Are you eating because you're unhappy?

When I have vegetarians over, I often make baked butternut squash. I halve them, scoop out the seeds, score the flesh and brush lightly (!) with oil. Then I stick the halves in the oven while prepping the filling. For that you thinkly slice or finely chop mushrooms, fry in small amount of oil, add a mixture of rice and…

I've tried semi-skimmed milk and almond milk and liked the latter more. Almond milk does have some salt and sugar in it but that doesn't bother me. I don't add sugar or salt to the mix though. So far, I've either added a squashed banana or a grated apple and then either a teaspoon of cocoa or a tablespoon of pb2 and/or…

I can't get any of the ice cream treats you all talk about in Germany, so I tend to make my own. In summer I take a watermelon, puree it (get the seeds out), add a few fresh blueberries and put into ice-lolly makers. Done. In winter I take a banana, put it in a freezer bag and squish it. Once it's frozen, I add a little…

In summer I often take salads to school (which is work for me); I use an airtight plastic container for the salad and a miniature jam jar for the dressing. So the dressing goes into the jar, the jar goes into the container with the salad. When I'm ready to eat, I just empty out the jar, put the lid on the container, give…

I try to prep a load of veg, stick them on a baking tin with tofu or some feta cheese, season and bake until done. Then I divide into tupperware containers and heat at school. My colleagues always come to the staff room after having lunch at the cafeteria and see my food and they actually get a bit jealous... Recently it's…

And another teacher, go right ahead and add me. Even if I'm usually the one tempting the colleagues. I love baking almost as much as eating cake and cookies, so when i'm feeling really down, I bake and take it to school and everybody else eats it ;-)

I feel your pain. Last year my timetable was better and I managed by gym time. This year I mostly teach seniors, so when I get home around 5, I'm back at the desk. The only thing I manage are really short ones in the evening, like 30 Day Shred or the occasional walk if I need to go shopping anyway. So, I'd just stick with…

Main meal of the day is dinner, so I try to save calories for that. I often go to bed very late and do desk-work till 10 or later, so I do sometimes snack but I try to pre-log that. I often buy small snack-pots of pudding (Alpro Dark Chocolate is yummy) and eat those very slowly. I don't have staples as such but it's some…

A combination of what the others said: Boost your size a little with a good bra, use tape to secure the neckline and use pins to either take it in a little or if it's a wrap dress to simply close the neckline a little.

I haven't got a recipe but I remember my grandma sometimes made hard-boiled eggs and served them with a dill-cream sauce. Also, a traditional German recipe uses small cucumbers (not gherkins!) and boils them in a dill-cream sauce. Sounds awful but it is quite nice.
