Nope, doesn't happen to me. I tend to gain weight rather than lose it because I just stuff my face eve more than I usually do. I did lose weight in all my relationships when my partners were losing, too. I do much better when I get support. Currently I'm exercising and eating right and while my boyfriend doesn't exercise,…

I find it hard to log the bad days because those tend to be the days when the food I eat is hard to log. Eg next Friday I'm cooking Pulled Pork for a mate's party. There will also be homemade burger buns and cole slaw. I don't want to weigh every ounce of meat or salad that I put in my mouth, so I'll have no idea what I'm…

Today I'm a nerd because I wrote a Teacher's POV article for this year's yearbook and managed to hide a Doctor Who quote in it. Will promise cookies to anybody who spots it.

Glad your issue has been resolved. I don't know how often this happens to you but I used to have massive colics after losing a lot of weight unhealthily fast 10 years ago. I was stuck in the bathroom, actually slept in there because I kept hoping something would come. Turns out i had gallbladder stones.

Caledonia as sung by Paolo Nutini - reminds me of falling in love, clinging to love, letting go of love The entire opera "The Magic Flute" reminds me of my dad. He died very young and I vaguely remember listening to Mozart together. Inis Mona by Eluveitie - reminds me of a new part of my life, opening up to new people and…

Uhhhhh more geeks, wonderful! I'm trying to lose ca 45lbs and get fit so I can keep up with the Doctor. Don't want to be the one left behind... Obv. I'm really into Doctor Who but also luuuurve Buffy, Harry Potter, anything Tolkien and I'm currently watching Star Trek for the first time... the OLD ones with Kirk. Hilarious!

I like salmon a lot, even though it's high in fat and calories. I enjoy having smoked salmon as a side dish with vegetables, especially broccoli. When I get fresh salmon I wrap it in foil and bake it in the oven, add some salt, pepper and lemon juice.

I'm 28 and my skin keeps changing. Doesn't matter if I eat clean. Been to dermatologists but all they do is prescribe cortison salves and those aren't supposed to be used for more than 2 weeks. So after 2 weeks my face looks great and then the acne comes right back.

Got the same problem. I try to eat huge portions in the evening. For example, tonight I'll be having about 400g of broccoli, 250g of low-fat Quark and 200g of smoked salmon. I'll have that between 7 and 8 and then I should be fine. Yesterday I had cookery class and I don't think I'd be setting a good example if I cook with…

Breakfast: Banana Lunch: Salad made from lettuce, red peppers, cherry tomatoes and 2 hard boiled eggs Snack: Some dried apple rings and a cup of coffee with milk Dinner: Huge amount of green asparagus, fried in olive oil, served with low-fat quark and Lachsschinken (smoked, cured pork loin)

In my opinion, whistling is for when you're calling your dog. I certainly don't smile when strangers whistle when I walk past. I love flirting but whistling isn't flirting, commenting on my boobs or backside isn't flirting, touching me without asking first isn't flirting... If you want to flirt, approach the woman (unless…

I wouldn't say they're all *kitten*. That friend of mine used the word "friendzoned", too when complaining about how girls weren't interested in him. Now I know him extremely well and he is just plain clueless. He's adorable as f*** but he doesn't know how to act when he's actually interested in somebody. We were hanging…

It's happened to me. Met a guy and actually worked pretty hard for him to feel comfortable around me. I really liked him, we spent lots of time together just the two of us but often he complained that women just didn't see him or weren't interested etc. Gave him a bit of a talking to about that. It hurt that he rejected me…

Has it crossed your mind that women online don't just "act nice"? When I was still looking for a bf online, I replied to everybody's message as long as it was grammatically correct and at least a little interesting. Lots of interesting conversations started with that and I built a connection to some of these guys but not…

And just a bit about "friendzone" and being "too nice". Sorry, that's just nonsense. Yes, there are women who like *kitten* and there are guys you like dating mean girls. But MOST people want to date nice folks. You can't have a spark with everybody who is nice to you. I'm friends with lots of wonderful geek guys with whom…

I'm not a gamer but I would definitely say I'm a geek. I met my boyfriend at a screening of the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary. We didn't hit it off then but I was on okc at that time and specifically searched for guys who are into all things Whedon and metal music. I emailed a guy and we later realized that we'd met before.…

I have no clue, Sry. Never went for long enough to regularly see people there. I did see the trainer greeting many customers and I have seen people waving or briefly chatting. But l haven't done classes or weight room.

From what I can tell he's both the manager and the trainer. Now in Germany to be allowed to call yourself trainer, you do have to go through specific classes that are state-regulated. So it's not like he just doesn't know stuff and that's why the gym is cheap. It's cheap because they don't do classes, they haven't got a…

I've never understood that way of motivating. I'm a teacher and I try to motivate all my students by praising them when they've done well. If somebody starts with a very poor grade but I can see they've worked on it the next time I grade a test, then I will praise them, even if they're still not very good. I don't need…

I don't manage half an hour every day but I've been doing 2-3 times a week. But I did tell him that it was only until I was physically able to do more. You CAN complain about things in Germany but people only take it seriously when something fairly major has happened. If he'd touched me inappropriately, THAT would get…

I did tell him that I have a history of losing/gaining. But for all he knows I might have an eating disorder or thyroid problems or whatever. So his comments didn't come out of nowhere but even then they're a bit inappropriate. I'm also aware that 30min won't cut it. However, I'm eating at a considerable deficit (and yes,…

I remember going to that gym many years ago and it was pretty mixed, both slim, ripped, normal and overweight people. This time only slim/ripped. Maybe it was the time, or maybe it's the general mood there? I'll find out. Tomatoey - I can understand that. There are one or two other gyms in town but I know myself - I will…
-
Thanks again for all the support but he isn't my personal trainer - at the gym you just get one free one-on-one session in which the trainer explains the machines etc. I might be spending money on the gym but not on him as a trainer specifically. I like the idea of messing with his head but I'm a chicken, I'll admit it .…

It IS a franchise but things are different in Germany. You might complain to the manager of a restaurant if the food was cold but apart from that it's very unusual to go higher up to complain about somebody. I've had checkout staff at the restaurant say rude things and people at clothing shops. Complaining about this kind…

I'm not sure I understand your comment. "Weight machine" is not the term he used - I simply don't know the English terms for the different thingies he showed me how to use. And I was also not precise when it comes to crunches - I asked him to suggest exercises for some back problems (lots of desk work...) and there's a…

Kinda glad to see I wasn't just being a wimp! I WILL indeed go back to that gym because I'm not doing it for him, I'm doing it for me. So he can go get lost. Unfortunately he IS the manager and head trainer of the gym, so I'd have to complain to him which I think would be pointless. However, since it's a cheap-*kitten*…

Just depends on what goes into your salad. I am eating loads of salad now but they're still pretty low-cal. I use green leaves of various kinds, cucumber, carrot, tomato and peppers, sometimes a little onion. I don't even log those carefully. But I DO log cheese, sweetcorn, tuna, meat or tofu properly. And since I don't…

You know, I met two of my boyfriends online. First time around I would have been considered a little overweight and the second time somewhere between overweight and slightly obese. I didn't put a picture online until I'd chatted to the men I was interested in and then sent honest pictures. All were ok with my look. I met a…

Only one way to know: weigh your food. There are some foods I don't weigh because it really makes no difference if I eat 18 or 25g worth of tomato but when you eat marge or chocolate spread or pate you're better off being precise.
