Are you measuring (weighing) your food? You really don't have to eat that much, one average banana alone will set you back 100 calories or so. Approximately the same for an apple.

This is less about nutrition (a multivitamin can help there) and more about keeping protein intake high to help preserve lean body mass.

Can you make your diet diary public so we can see what you're actually eating? Also, are you measuring your food or just guessing? Hitting 1200 calories a day is extremely easy to do, unless you're eating salads without dressing.

Just because you're eating over the calories allotted to you by MFP's generic (and awful) calorie wizard doesn't mean you ate over your actual maintenance calories.
