I definitely have a sense of humour, whether or not it's good is subjective I guess :) It's usually in the gutter if that helps. I'm in the same boat - lost most of the weight I wanted but put my "winter coat" back on; now I need to lose another 12-15 kgs and could use some MFP friends, so feel free to add me.

The dictionary :)

Did I hear you mention Ulysses? I haven't finished it yet - the brothel chapter is tough. Have you finished that literary marathon yourself?

Thanks everyone! I kept doing 5 minutes until I reached 30 on the stairmaster, and I have a 40 min walk round trip, so glad I went even though I feel like I'm broken.... in a good way :S Defo a thread worth keeping for reference x

Thanks Joanna, if only the couch wasn't so appealing :P

If I'm craving sweet for the sake of sweet I make my own popcorn (not from a packet) and then drizzle agave syrup all over it. Very sticky and messy but that's part of the fun. I've also been know to add hot chocolate powder over the top. If you've not familiar with agave:…

ISTP - just add a number and I'm a network connection error :(

I think you're right that distraction is going to help. We have a sandwich man that comes to our office half way between breakfast and lunch - just when I'm feeling weak - and he has the most delicious flapjack that must be a good 800 kcals a slice. I distract myself by singing "I'm a little teapot" in my head until he's…

Then after lunch head straight for Margaritaville. After a few 'blenders' you'll on your way. Also the Stratosphere rides are great if you enjoy being frozen with fear :D Probably best to do those before your "what happens in vegas" night.

Can't think of a victory of my own - sorry - but well done on the 5.5 inches that's pretty awesome and a much better indicator of how well you're doing than the number on the scales which fluctuates loads, for me at least.

Thanks for the tip. I also find blending veges into ready made soup is a good way to sneak them in. Making your own soup is of course better, but if you're not the cooking type then this works well.

Awww, I was actually joking about being hungry (because being hungry does make me unbearably grumpy - god help the world when I'm hungry AND tired) but I love your concern - thank you so much for the advice and link. Out of interest, in what way did you hair and skin suffer from lack of nutrition? I would be good to know…

Lol, that's exactly what I was going to say!! In the absence of useful to add, here's a short video in the spirit of this thread that might help to distract us from the hunger: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCRUPWDIgYM and another one, just because I love it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXKUb5A1auM

Please feel free to add me. I seem to be struggling to do this, so some friends in the same boat might be the push I need. Even if you don't add me, good luck :)

I find it absolutely vile when it's plain, but in the UK you can buy it ready mixed with pineapple, which I love. If you want to try mixing it with pineapple yourself, I would recommend using the juice too so it's nice and sweet.

+1 See you in purgatory!! :D
