  • Sometimes we relax a little too much on the weekends without realizing it and that washes away all our hard work from the week.
  • You're lucky if you haven't gained any weight yet having hypo. I wasn't so lucky. ugh
  • I have a feeling its more user error than the armband. I've been wearing one since they first came out way back when they were called Bodybuggs and you could only buy at 24 hr fitness. Never had an issue like that. I agree with the others on the customer service, it's amazing.
  • As a mother to 3 girls, this sounds like a great idea, I would have never thought of! Sounds like great mother/daughter bonding time, that I know is hard to make the time for sometimes. Life does get in the way and if you are able to take the time off from work and do it, thats awesome!! I see nothing wrong with some home…
  • Get a bodymedia, it will calculate the calories you burn all day long, plus count your steps.
  • You said you have a bodymedia. Are you wearing that and using it correctly? I wear mine 24/7, except one night about every 2 wks when it needs to charge. I take the deficit it says I have every day and compare it to what I'm losing and its pretty darn close. When it's not, I can go back at my food logs and I know exactly…
  • My daughter ships out to Parris Island on Sept 22nd but has 5 lbs to lose or she won't pass MEPS, its frustrating because she has so much muscle. Her body fat is in the teens, meets all those standards, but not the weight. When she enlisted back in Feb, she did the sauna suit, running with saran wrap for 10 days to make…
  • My thoughts have always been, if I'm hungry I will eat. I listen to my body, not what others or "experts" say I should eat. If your body says you need a snack, then have one. If you are fine without it and not eating them back, then don't. Bonus calories you burned. :)
  • Don't cut out anything you won't ever eat again. Remember this is a lifestyle change, not short term fix. Make realistic changes. Focus on portion control, weigh your foods, measure, get a food scale if you don't have one yet, that is a must have. You can eat whatever you want, just have to be smart about it, planning is…
  • If you open your diary, we could take a look at that and see if we could find an issue. I agree with waffle, try dropping your intake a few hundred calories a day and see if that helps.
  • I understand where you are coming from. I am the same way, I do great in the winter, because there is nothing I want to do, so gym it is. Summer its finally nice out I can find a million other things to do. Then a lot of times, we get so busy at home, we forget to eat or its getting really late when we get home, we just…
  • I wear a bodymedia so I know what I burn in a day, so I can always make sure I'm in a deficit, even on days when I seem to eat more. I also am a math nerd so seeing the numbers in front of me makes me feel better and not so bad if I do go over what MFP says I should eat in a day. I now know on lazy Sundays when I'm not…
  • I also have horrible constipation issues, always have, probably always will, so bad I thought I was having an appendicitis, turns out I had a blockage in my colon and had a big pocket of air building up. It was quite serious, while I thought it was funny, my dr did not. I said leave it to me to die from being constipated.…
  • I have the bodymedia fit. I love it! This does not track heart rate, but when comparing with what my hrm came up with for a workout, they were the same amount of calories burned, give or take just a few. This tracks steps, calories burned for the whole day, syncs with mfp, sleep, and mins of acitivity. Only downfall, after…
  • Box of brown rice and 3 lb bag of chicken tenders (less than $10 total), spent a few hours one night preparing and my daughter and I had lunches for the next week all prepped and ready to go. Can cook with seasonings or a couple of the days I made a dressing to throw on it, 1 tbsp evoo, 2 tsp dijon mustard, 1 tsp organic…
  • We had a pot luck at work to celebrate the start of the CWS and I ate the lunch I prepared last night. I didn't feel deprived, I felt successful. I even baked 2 dozen cookies last night to bring in today and didn't touch any of that dough.
  • When I first went on wellbutrin it did help supress my appetite, but of course my mind overrode that. But I do know drs also give it out for those who want to quit smoking too. I used chantix for a few weeks one time. That worked good but gave me crazy night mares.
  • I agree with the suggestion of Wellbutrin. It also helps suppress my appetite and helps with my depression.
  • hahah My dogs do the same thing, it gets dangerous for all of us if I try doing a video at home.
  • I also have wider hips than anything else and 2 yrs ago while I was in triathlon mode, I was measuring 19% body fat with the calipers at the gym, but when I did the scale at the hospital where you grip the handles and it analyzes everything, I was showing 26%, only because my lower region was larger, but it also broke down…
  • I often get exercise induced headaches, except mine will then turn into a full blown migraine. Tips they give for them are to make sure you warm up, be plenty hydrated, and know your trigger signs, if you feel a headache coming on, slow it down and take it easy for awhile.
  • Thank you for your service. My daughter ships off to Parris Island Sept 22 and her recruiter has told her how important it is that she remains at her weight, not only when she enlisted back in Feb, but also on ship out date, plus they will weigh every few months. I am not military so I don't know if this is true or not, so…
  • I talked to my dr about the same issues and she recommended I take calcium supplements with magnesium. I also don't get a lot of dairy and she said the calcium would help with it. I thought it sounded weird, but I went and got some good pills from the gym, where I knew they weren't some cheap brand with fillers and in a…
  • Yes! I am glad I am not the only one! When sick, all I want to do is lay around at home, then the kitchen is just feet away, then I get up and snack, ugh. So frustrating. :noway: Most people lose when sick, not me, I usually gain. lol
  • I also have this condition when I work out. No matter how fit I am, I always have a high heart rate. Talked to my dr about it and he said everything looked good, could be genetics, even though my resting heart rate is in the normal range. After talking to my brother, I learned he has this same condition that almost got him…
  • Eat normal the rest of the day. 800 cals in cookies is hardly anything to worry about, log it and move on. This will only derail your efforts if you let it.
  • My daughter is getting ready to enlist at 17 as a marine. She graduates in May and will ship out 4 days after her 18th bday. As a mom, breaks my heart, but I'm proud of her and supporting her all the way.
  • CW: 212 and completed both challenges Can't wait till the triathlon tonight. I do believe Rachel will end up winning it.
  • That is awesome!! I love spin classes if the instructor is energetic. There is one instructor at my gym that I avoid because shes just there and not real peppy. But then theres this one jamaican guy, that gets the class going good on sunday mornings. LOL Maybe the accent? haha who knows but he's great.
  • Along with everyone else, it's good to have friends that eat the same to get ideas. Anyone can add me. I second the suggestions of using coconut oil and bacon for calories. :drinker:
