I hope this doesn't seem silly, but I used to be really active and have recently been extremely sedentary due to life circumstances.... My NSV... My heart rate has stayed under 80 for most of the day today... I started back at MFP almost 60 days ago (60 days tomorrow....), and anytime I have checked my heart rate it has…

Great smile! :) Haha, we posted the same thing at the same time, but it applies to you too, so I'll leave it!!

My husband is the same way. He refuses to believe that we can have a meal without meat. My daughter made some stuffed shells for the family last week, and they were amazing. Even my husband liked them! I posted the recipe in a blog post for my friends. I don't think I have my blog set to private, but let me know if you…

Following. Need a new playlist desperately. Updating my music is on my to-do list. ;) Oh, and if I wanted a song to tell me to work I would likely choose Iggy Azalea's "Work" over Britney Spears. But that's just my preference.

I'd like to join. I joined a walking challenge at work, 10,000 steps a day for 10 weeks, starting September 15th. I'm starting to ramp up my walking a little bit right now to get ready. There is no way I'll reach 10,000 steps a day, but I'm hoping that the motivation from co-workers participating too will help encourage me…

Glad you can get away with that where you work. I could probably get away with that at my current job. However... That would NOT have gone over well in the office I used to work in! LOL

Unfortunately, I'm just not sure how to respond to that. She is an older woman I used to work with, almost ready for retirement, and really big on food. She was legitimately just trying to be nice... I ended up eating some of it. What else would I do after I had already said no twice and she's standing there waiting for my…

I got no further than this. Someone did this to me once. When I opted to avoid the office pot luck, she insisted I come try the food. When I told her again that I didn't wish to participate, she brought the food to my desk. Ugh.

All About That Bass, Meghan Trainor. I was gonna say this one, but you beat me to it. I think it's a fun song, but when it's stuck in my head all I can do is sing "Because you know I'm all about that bass, bout that bass, no treble" over and over and over and over and omg.... I get so tired of that one line!!

This is amazing. Yes.

Apparently they have nothing better to do... I wish we were living in such a utopian society!!!

Thanks everyone. She wore that today. She got sent to the office. I'm starting to wonder if the school district is intentionally trying to push towards uniforms. They tried to go uniform a few years ago and it didn't work. People didn't want it. So I almost have to wonder if this is a tactic to push us all to the point…

This is important. Struggles couples go through actually bring them closer. My husband and I are much happier now than ever in the past. So many people just give up and they don't realize what they could be missing had they worked it out. It's worth it.

Therapy can help, but it doesn't work for everyone. People need to find the solutions that work for them, there is no one way that works for everyone. And it's not talking trash, it's talking through problems and finding solutions.

My husband is absolutely at the top of my list alongside my kids. If I absolutely had to put one above the other, I would pick my husband because I know that my husband will always protect my kids with his own life if need be. Honestly.

In my experience, if both parties in a couple are willing to work on problems, the relationship has a chance. Have you talked to him about this? Sit him down and tell him how you feel. Don't put any blame on him, he is not a mind reader and might not have any idea how you are feeling. Tell him you feel like you are not his…

Aw, thanks!! And, yes, she intends to wear shoes. She was just posing for me. :)

The outfit we were concerned about... If that doesn't demonstrate how ridiculous they have gotten about dress code, I'm not sure what would... :(
-
All excellent questions...

Most of the jeans they sell now come with rips in them... We were at JC Penney and there was one rack of jeans that fit our criteria. The style she likes, no rips, a price I was willing to pay. One rack of jeans and they all looked exactly the same, color and all. She got one pair. All she wanted was a different shade of…

The outfit in question is something I would not be surprised to see someone wearing in my office. I'm tempted to take a picture of her in the outfit and post it. We did verify with the school that it would have been unacceptable. The reason being if a shirt is at all see-through, the shirt underneath has to be dress code…
-
This dress code seems pretty reasonable to me. The shorts in the "Acceptable" column in this image are not acceptable in our schools. LOL
-
They either have to change or, if they have nothing to change into, they sit in the office until the end of the day and miss their classes. They have a write up they give them too, not sure what happens if they get too many of those, if anything.
-
Some people just want to argue and will nit pick every word someone else says in order to find something to criticize. It's all good.
-
Their dress code says pants have to be at the waist.
-
Our feels like temp hit 102º at 2pm today. And the sleeves weren't the problem with the shirt, the light material was.

I have two 15 year olds. This is a high school.
-
I think you missed the point that it's becoming nearly impossible to: 1. Find clothes in the stores that fit the dress code policy. 2. Determine what actually does fit the policy. My husband has gone to the school on multiple occasions to defend our kids when they were wearing clothes that fit within the guidelines. And…

We definitely have a problem with the rules being enforced strictly for some and not for others. I can't wait to be done dealing with this. Four more years... :(
