  • So this is something I posted back in April and I certainly do not mind repeating it if it can help another person to be strong so here it goes - it is a long story but the total truth. I used to hate it when ex smokers would lecture or warn me about smoking. Hell, nothings going to happen to me. Ok - let me put it to you…

  • I love puffed millet or kamut - both are organic whole grain - I purchased mine at the supermarket - found them in the cereal aisle where the bagged cereals are - Arrowhead Mills brand for $1.79 - sodium, sugar & cholesterol free. I strongly suggest that you check them out. I eat mine with ground flax seeds, blueberries &…

  • Sounds like an older woman I worked with that said putting her snickers bar in the freezer made it less calories - lol I highly doubt it - I have always cooked my pasta al dente as that is the way I was taught by my Italian Mom. I never add any of the starchy water to my homemade sauce either BUT I have added water that I…
  • I add Salsa to: My taco meat along with cut up tomatoes, cheese, spices(cayeene pepper, chili pwd), Franks Red Hot sauce & chili oil. On top of a burger with cheese - no bun. I have sauteed onions, garlic in olive oil, cut up & dice eggplant, add my cooked chicken cutlets & salsa, cover & simmer for 10 mins. Great over…

  • I just made them tonight for the first time. I sliced 2 potatoes lengthwise into 1/2" slices. Drizzled a little olive oil and threw them into a preheated 425 oven - 15 mins later with a spatula…

  • Google and check out the "Dirty Dozen" - tells you which fruits and veggies are the worst for pesticides and to try an buy organic. I feel yr pain as it can be expensive especially in today's economy.

  • Soda and diet soda is horrible for your health. I have been using a 1 gallon container from an Arizona tea from a while ago and just keep making my own green tea (which has caffeine) and add a little bit of honey. If you like coffee, then like people have already said here, just add ice and enjoy it. Why not make a gallon…
  • I try not to eat bread a lot but I do really like Ezekiel 4:9 Low Sodium - it is an organic sprouted bread and actually has zero sodium - it gets it's name from a verse in the Bible. - I get it in a health food store and it is kept in the freezer section. I also use Spelt bread found in the same section.

  • You must realize that there are people on this site that are from the USA, Canada and overseas - we have different food regulations that are control by each country so of course if the foods are manufactured and packaged in these countries it will be different. As others have said, find the food, answer that it is wrong,…

  • I agree with cooking yr own meats and slicing them but if you do not have the time Boar's Head Maple Roasted Chicken Breast is only 310 mgs sodium - the lowest I have found as opposed to their low sodium turkey. I am definitely finding that anything "maple" is lower in sodium. Today I made my husband B&M Maple Baked Beans…
