Go online and check their menu for any possible healthy alternative...and DON'T CHANGE YOUR MIND WHEN YOU GET THERE!!!! Know what you're going to get before you set foot in the door. You don't always know the "truth" when you got out - for instance, the last company lunch I went to, I looked at the menu online...great -…

I eat CONSTANTLY all day - from an hour within waking up to an hour before going to bed. I have 3 meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and 3 snacks (AM, PM, late night). SO -- in order to do that successfully and stay within my calorie limit, I've got to make some pretty hard choices. However, I've managed to do it - and I've…

The Trader Joe's roasted seaweed sheets are THE BEST, and only 99 cents!!! I use these instead of eating chips or adding salt. Great suggestion!

I'm 5'3" as well and I currently weigh more than you do. I started back on 9/15 at 286.4 and today am down to 265.6 Here's a great quote I refer to all the time: IF YOU'RE TIRED OF STARTING OVER, THEN STOP QUITTING! :-) There are many of us here trying to make it to ONEderland...you're not alone!!!

If you Google "healthy grocery list" you'll find a lot of stuff that comes up - I think even the Mayo Clinic offers a healthy grocery list. My husband and I usually buy everything fresh as well, but we love our Progresso soups! He buys the regular ones, I buy the light ones that are "Biggest Loser" approved. The veggie and…

Your goal weight: 135ISH (DEPENDS MORE ON HOW I FEEL/LOOK AT THAT POINT). STARTED AT 286.4 ON 9/15 AND AS OF TODAY AM AT 265.6 Why you want to get to your goal: JUST GOT (RE)MARRIED IN JANUARY; WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A LONG, HEALTHY LIFE WITH MY NEW HUSBAND!!!! Your favorite food: SPINACH, ASPARAGUS, AND THESE FANTASTIC THINGS…

Did you stay within your nutritional goals? YES! Did you reach yesterday's personal goal? YES! I FINALLY BROKE THE 20 LB MARKER! WOOT! What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? USED THE BOWFLEX FOR THE FIRST TIME (HUBBY AND I JUST PUT IT TOGETHER SAT EVE) What would I have done differently? NOTHING What are today's…

I do both - like you, if I'm running late (or my husband is using the blender to make a smoothie), I skip making a protein shake and just grab a Muscle Milk Light Chocolate. I think they taste good (when they are very, very cold) and do the job in filling me up without taking too many calories out of my day.

Yum, I LOVE spinach!!! I use it in my salads, sandwiches, pastas, etc. And I love it creamed (there are low-cal/low-fat versions you can make) but my fave would be sauteed with garlic and sprinkled with pepper. SIMPLE!

I think it depends on the person and the specific things each one does. I started at 286.4 on 9/15 and was down to 265 this morning. But after tracking for a month, I find that I lose the most after days when I have eaten a lot of protein and drank a whole lot of water. You may need to tweak whatever you're eating to make…

For cardio, I walk when it's nice and still light outside; sometimes I'll take a 30 minutes walk during my lunch break at work. I also have a lateral thigh trainer - it's like a steppy thing, but the motion goes more of a side-to-side than just a straight up and down, and it B-U-R-N-S!!! LOL I read that it simulates hiking…

HELL TO THE YEAH (to being a hockey fan, not to the Habs!!!) LOL BTW, do any of you remember *THIS* from January - the incredibly female-fan-insulting "Girl's Guide to Hockey" by the NY Rangers????? http://www.buzzfeed.com/nicholasschwartz/the-new-york-rangers-published-an-incredibly-demea-7a5h

I like seeing how much I've lost in comparison with my goal. When I get closer to the goal, then I may switch to the "countdown" method as at that point, it will probably be more motivating for me!

THIS! I haven't snuck any Halloween candy at all! I think part of the reason is that we put 3-4 pieces in a bag and staple it shut. Do I really want to open some little kid's candy bag to steal a piece? Uh,no, I don't! And I haven't had any cravings for candy, anyway, so I'm good. I'm lucky with the holidays - my husband…
