5'9 and 30-40 to go, add me!

I've been on an SSRI (Lexapro) for about a year now, and haven't seen any impact on my appetite. I was terrified to go on it cause I was already the heaviest I had been in my life (5'8" 210 lbs urgh) at the time and didn't wanna gain any more. But it really helped with my depression, and gave me back the motivation to…

Wait...what??? Clearly this guy doesn't know what he's talking about on so many, MANY levels.

7 months sober here. I used alcohol to cope with anxiety and depression. I'd always been a heavy drinker, but then I hit an exceptionally rough patch...got to the point where if I wasn't at work, I was drunk. Had a breakdown, ended up in the hospital, and that was the point where I realized I couldn't live my life like…

My favorite breakfast is oatmeal with a scoop of protein powder and some frozen berries. Keeps me full til lunch. Vegetables are awesome too. A microwave bag of broccoli is like 100 calories for 4 cups...which is a ton of broccoli. lol.

I train BJJ and muay thai 3-4 times a week, and lift twice a week...I try to get in one or 2 extra cardio sessions, but my schedule doesn't always permit that. ...but I lost close to 30 pounds just lifting 3x a week and not doing anything else.

Funny story, I used to walk 5 miles to work every day, work 8 hours, and walk home. Took me about an hour 15-hour and a half. I had no choice because I got into an accident and totaled my car. Rain, snow, heat, cold. It sucked. I wouldn't recommend it.

:D :D :D

I look at myself naked in the mirror. Usually does the trick.

Do you drink a lot of coffee/caffeinated beverages? I drink roughly a bucket of coffee some days and it definitely affects my ability to fall/stay asleep.
-
I had the opposite problem--the scale refused to move for about 6 weeks, meanwhile, I was down 2 pants sizes and saw HUGE differences in progress pictures after only 3 weeks. Definitely take pictures and measurements, they're a lot more accurate.

If I can throw in the Cadbury cream filled eggs, then you've sold me on this diet.
-
I gotta say, my favorite part of the forums is googling all these crazy diets I woulda never knew existed. Gives me a good chuckle.

6 months sober (recovering alcoholic), and lost 26 pounds...but I think it's more correlation than causation.
-
I don't wrestle but I train BJJ, feel free to add me :)

Alot of coffee. BTW, anybody have any tricks for avoiding tachycardia?

Anything I can eat alot of for minimal calories. I buy a TON of those steam in bags of broccoli...its 4 cups of broccoli for about 100 calories. I'll usually eat the whole thing.

Hey, whatever works. I printed out a bunch of flyers for an event I wanna compete in in a few months, and taped em to my fridge, bedroom mirror...just a friendly reminder to keep at it.

6 years of tae kwon do, and currently train BJJ and muay thai. Add me

I can work out just fine during ToM (I guess I'm blessed that I sustain minimal damage lol), but a couple days leading up to it is horrible. I get depressed, I'm constantly tired, all I wanna do is eat, and when I try to work out I have no energy. Go to the gym and have to drop off some weight from my lifts? Yep, ToM…

--I was without a car for 6 months and did ALOT of walking, including walking 2 miles to the gym, lifting, and walking home. My mom told me I should quit the gym cause walking was enough exercise. --Lost 26 pounds lifting, but nobody believed me because "lifting makes you bulky." (BONUS: "must have been all that walking…

1. Top player, but trying to improve my guard game. All the barbell squats I've been doing has given me an iron grip guard though lol. 2. Favorite submissions gotta be RNC. Seems to be what I go for most times. I constantly try oma platas but can never pull them off cause I tend to roll with the big guys. 3. I'd go with…

I've been on Lexapro 20mg for almost a year now...I lost weight, but not directly cause of the medication. It just helped me with the motivation to workout and take care of myself...and curbing the heavy drinking I was doing on that time. Made me nauseous in the beginning and I didn't want to eat for a week or 2. I know it…

"The one thing you need to know before you detox:" 1. Don't. FTFY :P

On and off for 2 years...more "off" than I'd like because I work full time and go to school. I've trained in martial arts since I was 10 and I miss the days where I could just train and not be bogged down by adult life. Lol. I'm hoping for more mat time in the new year :p

--I will not give troll "advice" to NYR-ers, no matter how amusing I may find it to be. --I will not get annoyed and throw people out of "my" squat rack when I go back to the gym tomorrow. Unless they're doing curls or shrugs, then all bets are off.

(I logged in under the wrong name lol, add this one instead, my bad)
-
Also 26, you can add me if you'd like! I'm on pretty much every day.
-
This is actually my current videogame workout routine as well, lol. But back in the day when DDR was still a "thing," I lost like 40 pounds without even really trying. I was obsessed with that game...went on to win a couple tournaments. Thems were the days...

I'm 26, and so far down to 183 from 210. My goal is somewhere around 160. Add me, I'm always on. Lol
