  • So, how's everyone been holding up? RunnerGirl and I met at the race, and had a beer afterwards. We both had friends at the party, so we didn't spend too much time together. Still texting quite a bit though. We get along well and our lifestyles are compatible (other than her traveling for races all the time). If we ever…
  • Seriously, if it's a problem now, it'll only get worse once you lose. You guys are heading for two different lifestyle paths, and there are only 3 options. 1, he changes, as starts working on himself as you do. 2, He stays on the same path, which down the road causes you to go off track and put on the weight. 3, your…
  • OMG, You look fantastic!! Love the name change, too!
  • Woohoo, congrats! Get ready for second doubts and nervousness, followed by "wow, that wasn't so bad", and "Damn, I wish I had done this years ago".
  • Ran my first road race The Oktoberfest 8k. Smashed my previous run of the course. Got a medal and free beer, too. And I got to meet Runner Girl, a chick I've been talking to. This was out first (non)date.
  • Don't get me wrong, it's fun, but now it's harder to find thrift store stuff in my size. Also, I'm cheap (and poor) and clothes are not, lol.
  • I love/hate how thin my closet is now. Love that there's so much room that everything other than underwear/socks/lounge shorts are all hanging up. Love that the loss has allowed me the opportunity to try new styles and colors (I look damn good in lavender). Loved having to downsize clothes every few months. Hate hitting…
  • I need to trim another 2 inches off of the end. I wish I had kept the other trimmed pieces for a pic.

  • My diary is open, and I'm getting better about using it.
  • After saying I was taking a break from dating, I started talking with this lady from OKC, after she messaged me. (Guys LOVE it when a woman messages first, btw!) She's convinced me to run an 8K with her this weekend. We're planning on meeting up sometime this week for drinks. We'll see how that goes.
  • For me, the pre-op classes that I took through my surgical center really helped me decide. I had lost 100ish pounds on my own, but that had taken 2 years of constant yo-yoing. I did a lot of research and chose the center closest to me that had the most comprehensive support system. Every week there are different classes…

  • Some people are terrible at picking up signals. Especially people with limited dating experience. *Source: have spent most of my life in long-term relationships. I'm catching on to it though, or becoming more cynical.
  • I think some of it can be trying not to burn out on texting. Some of it is probably that he's pursuing other options. Some of it could be that he just sucks at texting. Also, there's that whole BS old-thought of "playing it cool/hard to get". Honestly, all you can do is leave the ball in someone else's court. Or be direct…
  • So freaking wonderful! You have been an inspiration!
  • I think I was convinced to sign up for an 8K race next weekend. It'll be my first race, and a little more distance/time than I'm used to running. Kind of excited for it.
  • You mean like expecting instant responses?
  • So I bought this nice, heavy leather belt sometime before surgery. As I've lost weight, I've punched in new holes, and trimmed the end off of it to keep it looking nice. Today I looked at it and realized that there are no more manufacturer made holes on my belt. The ones on there now all came from my leather punch.
  • It's a total pain in the *kitten*. I'm taking this month off of dating, maybe the rest of the year, unless something happens in the wild. With my work on this half-marathon, and the house purchase right around the corner, funds and time will both be limited. *Haha, censorship! Oh wow, editing a post loopholes around the…
  • will do. Nutritionist appt tomorrow, so I'll be there anyways.
  • About the same. Constantly feeling like I need to "expel". And when I do, it's mighty forceful.
  • I was told no straws for 3 months
  • OT: Clothes are so weird. I think a lot of it is body composition (excess skin). I have to try everything on, because the differences in shirt brands/styles are never consistent, especially in these lower sizes. Never had much of an issue previously, because I literally didn't give a *kitten* how I looked.
  • Fantastic! I HATE when that happens. Had to install a phone lock so that it would stop unlocking in my pocket
  • Darebee has become my favorite site. I recommend it to everyone.
  • Already?! Where does the time go? And yeah, I've skipped these for the last few months, but I've been doing some awesome, and some not awesome stuff. I'm using this plan to learn how to run a half-marathon. The funny part is that I don't have a race to compete i; I'm just doing this to see if I can stick to something…
  • Yeah, I've learned to never count on someone as a sure thing. Keep the options open until after a few dates.
  • Yep, don't hang on to someone who isn't prioritizing you. Move on to the next. You left the ball in his court, and if he picks back up, then cool. The biggest frustrations of dating are flaking and ghosting. Flaking is when someone cancels a date last minute, or just does not show up. Ghosting is when the conversation just…
