Hello and welcome to the group

You can do it; just get back to the basics. Welcome to the group!

Just remember BMI is not really meant as a gauge of health for individuals, it's meant to be used as a general tool for populations of people. Even the creator of the BMI scale agreed that it was not an ideal system of individual measurement.

By about month 8 I had started slowing down, equalizing, some months were a 2# loss, some were 6-8, I think a few months there were gains. The last 2 months have only been 2# losses. Bear in mind that a lot of it's probably due to a period where I started interjecting old habits. I just realized that I've lost exactly 100#…

Yep, going slow with the food helps, as does remembering when to drink water. I give myself 15 minutes before eating, and 20 minutes afterwards. Otherwise the liquid helps to flush out the pouch faster, supposedly

My large dress shirts and pants are starting to look baggy. Time to weed out the closet, I guess. Waist size is now 33, down from 48.

ah, that's why my surgeon suggested the RYN over the sleeve. pre-surgery I had pretty bad reflux. Post op, it's about 85% better
-
That isn't very common, from what I've seen, unless it was a medical necessity. What are your reasons for looking into this?

Wish I had an answer for you. My knees have decided that long distance will never be my thing!

A little late this month... I've been lax. Not logging, measuring, or exercising. Just doing maintenance by feel. Today's weigh in is the first time I've been on a scale since last month. Current fat percentage is 23.1%. Target is 12-20%. SEX: M HEIGHT: 5'8" HW: 350 (10/15/2013) SDW: 262 (07/08/2015) -- 88 POUNDS LOST…

Read up on cold-brewing. YUMMEH. I drink mine black, but some people add junk to it. You can make a big container at a time, which should last a day or 3. I'm also a big fan of using pressed coffee in my protein shakes. I use an Aeropress to push out about 6 oz of whatever roast I like (usually something dark). I put about…

I feel like you can't really trust those pounds lost on the first few days. Most of that has to be water retention. Sometimes it stays off, but more often than not (in my case) it builds back up on my normal eating time. Bodies are weird.
-
FANTASTIC WORK!
-
yeah, just ignore in, and keep full of water/broth/protein for now. It gets better.
-
Excellent job!

Healing up, and following the schedule is the most important right now. Your body is still repairing surgical damage, so you will be gaining/losing up and down for a week or 3. The rate you lose also seems to depend on where you start off.

Went out for a walk with the family this Sunday, and ran in to a friend who moved away 2 years ago. He had absolutely no idea who I was until I removed my sunglasses. He is a doctorate in nutritional science and was the one who first helped me to start losing weight, and introduced me to MFP. It's always awesome to see a…

I've said it many times before; You Rock! Such an awesome amount of dedication, and hard work! I love that you own up to the setbacks, but you do not let them own you. You are a great inspiration to this community!

So, I historically have bought the "Bath sheet" (65*33) sized towels, as In my former days, a regular towel would only get me 60% dry, and I couldn't get the thing around my body. I've used these (or beach towels) for the last many years. Recently though, I've noticed that they are barely damp after a shower. Also, regular…
