  • You can sign up for a 15 day free trail on yogaglo.com - there loads of videos - all different styles of yoga for different levels of yogi. After the first 15 days just remember to cancel the membership! Alternatively there's videos on Youtube which are great - I quite like Tara Stiles videos :)
  • Eat your food, don't drink it. Make sure you get a good amount of protein at breakfast (I usually get around 30-40g) as well as some fat (10-15g). Eggs, greek yogurt with fruit, bacon, oatmeal with protein powder and nut butters - the loads and loads of options
  • ^ I would go and explain how you feel to your doctor. I've been where you are and it only went downhill from there - I HAD to run for an hour a day, I HAD to eat X calories or the guilt would be overwhelming. It wasn't normal or healthy. When I got help, took a break from exercising and started eating 2300+ calories I saw…
  • i'm irish so potatoes are basically a compulsory food group. i have them baked or mashed or sauteed or roasted mmmm!
  • Like you feel hungry but not sated? That can happen if you're filling yourself up with too much low calorie food - e.g. if you ate a kg of celery you would be full but not satisfied. Make sure you're getting enough protein and fats in your diet.
  • ^ this. you don't have to starve to lose weight. you're going to wreck your metabolism, plateau and then you're screwed.
  • Your BMF doesn't 'learn', the results that you get aren't going to change. A 1100 calories is too big imo - it will cause you to lose lean muscle. Keep going to the gym and spend time doing weights and resistance exercise and eat more - you'll become much more 'toned' and building muscle raises your BMR.
  • Here's the whole menu, all of the nutritional information is on it too :) http://www.nandos.co.uk/themenu Nandos is pretty healthy, you could get almost anything for less than 800 calories!

  • Look for a cheap barbell, weights, bench and squat rack - maybe look on ebay, craigslist, or Gumtree? They can last you for a very long time and you can use them any time of day!
  • Maybe try watching this http://www.bodybuilding.com/exercises/detail/view/name/bodyweight-squat Then video yourself when you squat and see if you're doing it right. If it's still alright then maybe try holding a pair of dumbbells when you're doing it - you may just have strong legs already.
  • Don't worry, the body preferentially lays down fat around the mid-section to insulate vital organs. It does redistribute in time with a consistent intake - it can take up to a year but I found that for me it only took about 4 months.
  • Your body thinking it's starving so it's holding onto your fat. You're really going to slow down your metabolism eating that little - it's unnecessary.
  • Banana bread? You can mash them into oatmeal and it tastes lovely!
  • Incorporate it as part of your day - walk to or home from work, walk on your lunch break, get off the bus a few stops early, do some vigorous housework - hoovering, scrubbing floors & windows - even washing dishes is better than putting them in a dishwasher. Do HIIT exercises - they take up much less time but are much more…
  • Excellent. All 1200 will do is slow your metabolism and make you cranky - imo it's not suitable for long term and sustainable weight loss. What are your stats - age/weight/height? I would go to at least 1500 sedentary. Is your job active? If so you might want to add more. On workout days try going up to at least 1700. Have…
  • ^ Agree with this. Most of the foods mentioned here also contain protein. Could you give us a few examples of what a standard meal looks like in your school?
  • You're not getting many veggies - they give you a lot of bang for your buck calorie wise. Also your breakfast is quite low in protein - a high protein breakfast always leaves me feeling more satisfied throughout the day.
  • oh ffs thats bull****. carbs and protein have exactly that same amount of calories per gram - 4. in fact the body actually uses more calories breaking down protein that any other food source.
  • so i can eat more. not even joking.
  • I would say it's too much. Increased exercise will eventually lead to an increased appetite - you'll have to eat more to fuel the extra workouts so unless you're doing them for pure enjoyment I really wouldn't bother.
  • You're going to seriously slow down your metabolism - what are you going to do when you plateau? cut down to 300? then what? And what about when you decide to maintain? You realize that you will put on weight as you begin to eat more as your metabolism can't cope with that? You're going to put your body into starvation…
  • lol no. it's just a protein supplement, it's not a diet product or anything. the type of protein powder you use should depend on the time you plan on taking it and the purpose for which you're taking it. what are you wanting to take it for? :)
  • ^ if i'm hungry my body clearly needs food, imma eat!
  • I'd love to gain but don't even know where to start. I think i'd feel completely intimidated going into the weights section of the gym :/ any tips would be greatly appreciated!
  • It's not binge eating: http://www.youreatopia.com/blog/2012/5/22/extreme-hunger-what-is-it.html
  • i'm in university... i think that's the same as college C:
  • Absolutely ridiculous. She's a beautiful, healthy child!
  • Of course that's not how they're caused, I didn't say that. What I meant was that ever more focus is being put on body image and personal appearance. If a child is labeled as 'obese' that's something they're going to remember. They feel different, as if they aren't normal and that their body should be changed to fit with…
