3 days with my family, AWESOME! I kept a food journal but didn't log on MFP as I stay off the internet when visiting them. I ate within my calories and did a challenge a day (planks today). Glad you made it through the holidays, Unknown sister. Enjoy your party and eating out with your son. Jocoblossoming, I have heard…

This is a busy but fun week for me. Today, I met some friends at a restaurant and had a burger, salad and lemonade but stayed within my calories (way over on sodium so will be watching that the rest of the week). There will be lots of activities centered around food this week for me. So my goals are to eat mindfully, log…

I'm going to try that this week; 3 of my friends want to meet at different places this week for lunch. Going with my meals selected before I get there will hopefully keep me focused and help avoid temptations. I gave myself 24 hours laying around in pajamas as my winter break started yesterday. Tomorrow st a arts a new…

I'm doing better this week logging. I do better logging in a notebook than I do online for some reason. I spent 24 hours in pajamas reading and listening to music after a tough week teaching. I am off til January 5 although I know I will go in at least once to get some paperwork and organizing done. So I am going to end…

This week has been even more stressful than I thought it would be. Tomorrow is the last day before winter break (16 days relatively stressfree). I have my breakfast, snacks and lunch all ready to be packed in the morning and my things sitting by the door. I just might start singing and dancing at 3:30 tomorrow! I've done…

Awesome meeting your workout goals; I have not been anywhere close to meeting mine. Calorie-wise I am doing fine but I only experience weight loss when I get consistent 30 - 60 minute daily workout s in. What's putting you over your calorie goals?
-
Woohoo Nate! Celebrate that loss!

This is always a difficult week at work (the last before our 2 weeks for winter Break); the students struggle with unrealistic expectations for the holidays, knowing that they won't have the predictable routines of school over break, and the frustration that they can't do much about it. So my stress level will be high as…

Half way through the month, h o w is everyone doing on their challenge? Me, I am trying to log daily but not being as successful as I could be.

Sorry this week has been stressful. Hang in there and celebrate each healthy choice you make. I know that the more I focus on my self care, the less importance I give to those things that stress me out even though I hAve little or no control over them. I can control what I eat and if I take a walk. We can do this.

At training yesterday, today, tomorrow. Trying to get steps in...walking during breaks etc. But only getting about half my goal. And the two and a half hours in the car don't help either. But did awesome e a thing....packed lunch and snacks.

So to rewrite the missing half.... Welcome new posters!! You'll like this group! Let's get the gym this week everyone!

Well half my post got lost...hmmm

Chicken with vegetables instead of pasta (love my veggeti slicer) as I limit my flour based products. Yummy! I got creative entering it into my diary though. I got up at 5 am instead of 6; wow, I can get so much done in an hour! And it was so nice to come home knowing I had everything under control. Not getting all my…

Going to start this week off more proactive than I have been by setting my goals before the week starts. My goals are: (1) Curves 3 times, (2) 11,500 steps a day, (3) logging daily, (4) getting up in the morning rather than laying around til the last minute. This week is going to be busy and stressful but I am going to do…

Welcome! Be sure to read and participate in other threads. Having the support of others working towards getting healthier is helpful. And justcindy is right, the activity on here varies. While it says there are 1235 members, there are just a handful of active posters. Maybe we should start a current members intro thread…

3 curves workouts done, ok with water intake, not so good on the "no". Maybe I need to think of it as "NO!"

I love seeing 10,000 on my pedometer...it's like this magical number for me. I already have Curves scheduled in my calendar tomorrow between work and going to a play with a group of friends. Going to skip the annual holiday party...I don't drink and the food is not healthy (it's at a bar). I know that the play is the…

@Unknown_sister, congrats on getting to the gym. I made it to Curves again today and feel so much better. @jocoblossoming, if you figure out how to not stress eat at work, share the insight. I caught myself three times today seeking out unhealthy foods because I was feeling stress. I chose to deal directly with them but…

Congrats! I know how good that feels. I went to Zumba for the first time in 2 months last night. I need to think about this week's goals.

Well due to holiday and heavy snow, only got to Curves once. Weight loss vision board in progress; lots of inspiration on pinterest. I stayed under 2500 calories on Thanksgiving. 2 pieces of pumpkin cheesecake pie adds up fast. Back on track today. I've been looking at the Jawbone Up myself.

Well, that was unexpected. After the challenge, I really thought they make the 40lb goal. I knew Scott was going to the one leaving; he is just in a different place than Toma. I hope takes this for the push to dig deeper into the emotional part of weight loss. And way to go Rondalee. What a great healthy step for her.

Squats are still out due to knee injury so I am walking on treadmill while watching online after I post this. Be back later to share my thoughts.

Everyone set such good goals that I am going to push myself a bit harder. My goals are to log daily, go to Curves twice this week, create a new vision board for what I am working on for the next 90 days, and to stay under 2500 calories on Thanksgiving. Posted on the whiteboard and entered into my daily planner as well as…

When I put my workouts on my Ipad calendar with a 1 hour reminder I always make it to the gym. I need that structure to keep my commitment to working out at the gym. It's just like anything else on the calendar like work or an appointment. if it's on there, I do it. I also add more workout time or reps if I miss the gym…

CONGRATULATIONS! What a nice accomplishment to achieve!

I feel like I am on a roller coaster and from what I am reading I'm not alone...thank goodness! I do great at eating healthy but I can't seem to get in the exercise or I get in a good workout but I don't eat healthy. And I am not handling my stress well at all. I had my first day off in two weeks and never made it out my…

Had fun challenging my students to the push up challenge! They watched the episode with me during lunch period too. They are being so encouraging! I like it when they switch things up like they did this week.

Part 1 - Come up with & post your game plan to survive the holidays. The holidays are usually not that tough for me to get through. If anything, I focus on the positives of the season--extra time with family and friends, fun activities, self reflection for the past year, etc. I will continue doing what I usually do I…
