Love the growth mindset of this group! I was stuck with some negative thoughts and logged in here. You guys always jolt me out of my old unhealthy thoughts...thank you! For my something different, I downloaded a new HIIT playlist. It made my old workout new again. So fun, I am replaying it while doing housework...and…

@nassi1984 You can always find support here! Keep logging! @Summer I used to walk with my mom's dog who would sit down and refuse to move so I would end up carrying her back, sometimes for over a mile. Find an exercise you love... Got a good workout in today despite the cold making it hard to breathe. Then I fell asleep on…

Hey everyone, including the new posters! I'm still trying to recover from my cold so haven't logged, exercised, and eating has been off. Guess I should probably keep it simple goalwise. So, this week, I will get in a 30 minute walk daily, get to the gym once, and log daily. Right now, that seems like a lot. Try something…

Just noticed that autocorrect changed work into week. While I'm tempted to say that is why I haven't made progress on this goal is because of that, it's not true. I just haven't wanted to get up early. But there is always the next day to try again... So I thought about three attributes I have that help me live healthy.…

My goal this week is to walk before week, even if it just around the block. I'll post about my positive attributes later; feeling grumpy and blah. This cold is hitting me hard.

OMG I missed that one...so true. I could sit there and eat them all day and still crave them. You are a strong person!

Italian: That is so sad. Our animal family members are so hard to let go of. Craftscout: Hiking is awesome, isn't it? Enjoy the miles those boots take you over. Cheesy: 3 steps shy of your goal must have had you rolling your eyes and saying "Really???". How exasperating. HLaR79: Thanks, it helped to cry about the series of…

HLaR79, I couldn't wait for this day to end either. Staying committed to healthy choices was tough today but thinking about being accountable here helped. But I am going to indulge in an ugly but cathartic cry. Italian, that's two weeks now you made it to the gym, isn't it? Even if I'm mistaken, good for you. Isn't…

This is so true... I will drink plain coffee rather than add sf/ff creamer. It tastes awful. A cup of French roast with a splash of half and half is worth the bit of extra fat.

Last Monday of the school year done....it is always a sad day for me. I would love to teach year round; my students tell me I'm insane but I really would not mind it. Probably why I teach 2 sessions of extended school year. So my goal this week is to have a positive outlook no matter what. And enjoy the days I do have.…

Oops, hit the post button by accident without stating my June goal. I will be at 10,000 steps a day by the end of the month, with a total weekly count of 75,000 the last full week. I'm about 45,000 a week right now so I need to get 4,300 more steps a day. Leslie Sansone has a 30 days to 10,000 steps plan that should give…

Shin splints suck...it took 6 months to recuperate the last time. Just the thought of them reoccurring holds me back from pushing myself that little bit harder...

Late posting here again. My goal this week is to complete my journaling daily. I made it to 20 day streak today for the first time in a long time. I haven't had a NSV in awhile so it is time to set some for the summer. I am a goal-oriented person so this is an important motivator for me. I just gotta make sure I don't set…

Well that's not quite what I was imagining when I read dirty. But I'm sure he likes the shirt just as much. Seriously, though, good for you for giving yourself as much importance as everything else in your life. It is sure to help your overall outlook on life and motivate you to do more.

High for the day: built my keyhole garden. Low: I had to do it alone as everyone I asked to visit and help has other plans. :(

A beautiful day today. It was an emotional day at work as we had to tell my students some of the staff won't be back next year and of other changes. Which leads to my high for the day: I prepared a healthy breakfast, snacks, and lunch for work and I made sure I was well rested. And I took a walk on my lunch break. And a…

Way to go Italian! You made it to the gym! Miss_Mania, 8 minutes shaved off your previous time....awesome! High today was, well I'll be honest, the ice cream cone I got during my lunch break and ate sitting outside in the sun. Reminded me of when my parents would splurge and get us a DQ treat once in awhile (with 11 kids…

Hi was gardening; low was horrible headache today. Boxing sounds so fun, Skittles! Love the pic!

My high today was keeping on schedule; my low would have to be the cold weather. I still followed through with my goals, just didn't do as much as I would have if it wasn't 40 degrees out. Miss_Mania...love 30DShred! Enjoy those after workout endorphins!

My goal this week is to keep active.* I set my Jawbone Up to vibrate when I am sedentary for more than 30 minutes. Take the stairs daily; studies show people who walk up and down stairs regularly have lower bad cholesterol and more good cholesterol. Garden in the evening rather than sit and do paperwork. Have good Monday!…

Italian, hope you can make it to the gym soon. Sounds like you could use the endorphins exercise gives you to help manage the stress of living with a young adult. Just thinking about it makes me want to take a nap. I have 3 students who are 18 this year and I sometimes feel like I'm in the midst of a hurricane. I keep…

Goals I am working on this week: 1. 8,000 steps a day (3 days in a row!) 2. Flylady.com routines (am, pm, and daily 15 minute zone) to stay organized and on time 3. Regular bedtime/8 hours sleep 4. Set new goals for the summer in journal Welcome back Starchile! How long will you be doing your quick start? When I have…

Love the mini goal this week. I did so many things this week to manage my stress without turning to food. I even went home from work one day rather than tough it out which would have driven me to stress eat for sure. Best of all I have been gardening every day. I am even putting in a keyhole garden this week. I have all…

As you should be! Go you!

That is your EpiphaMe; that moment that changes something in you, as hard as that moment is. Welcome to a great support network! And you are right, you deserve better from yourself and now you will do better. Raising my glass of water to you!

I rarely imbibe in alcohol but it's testing season and the weather is really nice ... ugh it has been a tough week trying to motivate students. I am having a margarita with supper (within my calorie count still), listening to classical music and soaking up some stress-free sunshine. HLaR79: so glad your numbers are in a…

Sounds like everyone is having a great week so far. HLaR79, so glad you're responding positively to the medication change; sometimes our bodies just need a little help to work efficiently. Congrats on getting an award shballa! Sorry craftscout, I'm firmly in the Eww fish camp; I do plan at least two meals a week with…

Bright and sunny today...yard work was actually a joy to do as I got to soak up some sunshine. An okay week when I would rather have an outstanding one. My goals will be more challenging next week. Nice numbers, craftscout! Overall, your week sounds great.

Rain, rain go away....I want to go for a walk! I'd go anyway but my dog thinks rain is absolute torture and lays down and shows his belly. So I end up carrying him, get cold, wet and then I have to give him a bath ... treadmill here I come.

Wow, I wish I could just give everyone a hug...unexpected weight gains, sleep problems, health issues aside, we are all doing something good for ourselves. I used to let these setbacks overwhelm me and I would give up. Checking in here helps me find the resiliency to keep striving to live healthier. I had a tough week too.…
