If your knees hurt walking is best. If you can run then run like the wind because it is great stuff when you get into it. I just started the running about 6 months ago and now I run at least two 5K's per week. It feels great and seems to help the whole body thing. The bicycle has improved my running when I started doing…

Walmart offers a couple varieties. "Perfect Band" has a kit with (if I remember) a 10 and 15 pound band, handles, door retraint, and a bag. You can also add a couple of bands off the shelf and they vary from 20-35 in resistance. They can be combined to create any combination of weight. I use it on my office door, step on…

Great topic! I have the same issue but still use free weights, bands, bowflex, ankle weights, wrist weights, and a big Gold's gyn ball for situps. The band system is inexpensive and multi-functional. If you search youtube it will show various excercises. I am no expert but I am making headway with these items.

We regret to inform you that no one has made it over fifty on the forum yet! Not....56 here and still having fun with this diet stuff!

Great job! You showed dedication and fortitude getting to this point! I like the office ideas and now wish we had stairs at my work. However 10 stories would probably put me in intensive care!

I'm heading out in a couple of hours after work. It's a crazy weather day at Campbell!

I wish everyone a great New Years eve tonight. Have fun and get wild (loosen up a little)! I hope 2014 brings you happiness and reward! Santa brought me the best New Year ever! A porta-potty located at the end of my 5 mile track.

I make about a dozen of these at a time and freeze them individually. Makes my morning easy on a work day. Defrost the day before and microwave upon arrival to the office! I'm still breathing so it must be OK? Eggbeaters, spinnach, and onion on a whole wheat roll.

This is my weekday morning meal. I make about 12 at a time and freeze individually to make my mornings easy. Eggbeaters, spinach, and onion on a whole wheat muffin.

I managed to lose a few pounds and now I look like a half full sack of potatos. Seems like this challenge might help with the balance of my beer belly! My goal is to run / jog and not have anything bouncing around the mid section.

I joined! Ready for "operation abs."

I felt old 59 pounds ago! You can lose the weight if you stay focused. MFP is a BIG help in all areas of the process and it is a process.

I'm in for 100. If anyone uses runtastic or runkeeper my name is Brian Ages and you can add me as a friend.

It has worked well for me. I use runtastic.com and use their app to log distance, calories, and time. It works with mfp. I do 100 miles per month and have fun.

I can see my toes (and more) without leaning forward. Proud moment!

I made it .... 101.95 miles and an elevation difference of 4170 ft.

This is where I started at so far as "diameter". I'm the one in the white shirt. This picture let me know the time had come for a diet! I didn't have a lot of pictures of myself so this is about all I could find as a refference. My 2014 goal is to become a lean, mean, senior machine again!

This and MFP are all you need. I'm 56, sit behind a desk all day, and recently quit smoking after 30 years of intense smoking pleasure (2-3 packs per day). I went through the weight gain and then joined MFP. I'm down 60 pounds and out of all the verbage in ads and websites, the above quote is all you need and track…

6 mile walk before a great Christmas dinner! Ho Ho Ho!

I'm at 91.36 miles with days to go. I plan on 5 today and another 5 on Friday!
-
I'm all in! It's my monthly goal anyway so I should not have a problem.

Unfortunately YES. I made a bet with myself that I could lose weight through the holidays and stay on track. This is a tough track and like the Army, I only want to pay for the real estate once. No sense making a gain and giving it back only to try and retake the same ground.

Great news....it goes away! I was diagnosed with it 3 months ago and it had also triggered diabetes. The doctor made it simple....1800 calories a day and walk 20 minutes. If I lose the weight he said everything could go back to normal. I dropped 54 pounds by walking 1 hour per day and roughly a gross intake of 1600…
