Ok I wet the crap outta the strap and my chest and it worked :) Thanks all!!

Yep, all of that checked... I am going to call tomorrow. It is brand new so not sure there would be a battery issue.
-
Ok I am trying to use it and I have it strapped on and sometimes it detects my heartrate for a second but then tells me to check monitor and goes to zero. WTF am I doing wrong? I can't get it to consistently pick up my HR?

I have been doing the Leslie Sansone walk away the pounds videos and they get in a TON of walking. For the 5 mile walk that you can find online it's done in an hour and there's your 10000 right there.

Nice.

That would be pretty selfish on your part to toss whatever treats someone else brings in for other people.

Hi! Single mom of an almost 4 year old! I workout either in the mornings before work and (hopefully) before he wakes up but most of the time I go to the gym on my lunch break from work. :) Also if I can talk him into going for a walk I put him in the stroller and hope for the best :)

Hi! Add me! http://www.fitbit.com/user/27G9RL

I have a FitBit that is synched up to MFP so that is a HUGE motivator for me, to see myself "gain" calories that I can eat, so I think I will stay with MFP. Eating the calories back is something I need to work on.
-
Ok that totally makes sense.. I didn't realize that with TDEE you don't eat your calories back. So yeah roughly the same either way. Thanks guys, BIG help!!
-
Added you!!! :)

I started out at 282 and have lost 28 lbs in almost exactly 2 months. TOTALLY doable. I also work at a desk and use my lunch hour to go to the gym and also walk around the neighborhood in the evenings.

Exercising can also make you feel like you are in control of your life!... which, I know I needed..

Single mom here!! My son is almost 4.. we walk with him in the stroller and I workout during my lunch break at work. 30 mins at the gym is really all I can do but it's pretty much enough!! Also I workout with weights at home while he watches his shows on TV or plays with his toys.

This is what I have always done. Alternate cardio days with weight days. Weight training increases metabolism because you are burning calories while your muscles are rebuilding!
-
OH ok so it automatically deletes those calories FOR you when you log start time? I had no idea!
-
Cool, thanks!! I have been logging my weight lifting, just not anything else.
-
Friends!! I would love any new friends too!! :)
