  • I've had oatmeal for breakfast for months now.. I think its been 7 months now. I don't get bored because I always switch up the fruit I eat with it.. lol. :]
  • OMG me too!!!!!!!
  • I think the 10 weight loss commandments are an awesome starting point.. However, I can't follow the one about not eating after 7:30pm. I don't get to bed until around midnight usually, and I go for a nightly walk after dinner at around 7:30 so I find by 9:30 I am hearing the grumbling in my tummy again.. Can't fall asleep…

  • I'm 6'2" 165-170lbs size 10-12 depending on the brand. :]
  • They're preservative free and don't have a mile-long ingredient list. :]
  • Haha it helps to hear it from more than one person!! Expertise is found in the voices of many. :]
  • If you added exercise, then you get to eat your exercise calories too!! :] That would be why you have eaten all of your regular calories aaand are still in "the green". Welcome to the site!!
  • Well you've been here a week, so how's your weight loss going? If you have trouble eating all of the calories, try splitting them up into smaller, more frequent meals. Or you could add some calorie-dense snacks like mixed nuts.
  • I would think so!! And probably sick.. :frown: in the sense that they don't know what a healthy body size is. Normal "skinny" girls who have lost weight also suffer from body dysmorphia. Such a tricky balance.
  • Roommate. 5'7", 98lbs, size 00-1 (1's fit loose), can eat a double-double, large fries and a shake on top of a full day of eating and not even be bloated the next day. She usually loses weight when she eats a lot, actually. She's superhuman, I swear. And YES, it annoys me to death when she says "oh I shouldn't have a coke,…
  • I searched "circuit training" and use that.. However, I usually knock off about 100 calories because Curves is a less intense form of a traditional circuit workout. :] Hope this helps!
  • I'm starting over today tool!! My eating got really out of hand and yeahhh.... Just need to wipe the slate clean. No regret, especially no guilt. :] Its a learning process and every day is a new day. Good luck to you as well!!
  • I'm in school to be a veterinary technologist and I will never, ever get used to saying goodbye to people's pets.. My friends dog was put down and I cried with him.. I am so sorry for your loss.. *HUGS*

  • Losing 100 lbs and keeping it off (or even losing five pounds and keeping it off!!) isn't easy if you don't make at least SOME of your changes permanent. They aren't kidding when they say you have to make a "lifestyle" change.. :] The best thing I did while losing a majority of my weight was face my emotions and then make…
  • The gym scale may not be balanced... It is VERY easy for gym scales to get off track with all of the people hopping on and off all the time. The thing is, your weight is just a number at the end of the day.. so I would pick a scale and stick with it. Mentally, thats a BIG difference in weight, but don't let it affect you…
  • Making funfetti and diet sierra mist with my suite-mate tonight!! Sooo excited!!!! :]
  • Weekends are the worst for me!! I am SO IN!!!!! :] Bring it on, Saturday, bring it onnnnnnnn.. Haha! :] This is a great challenge! I will be back soon.
  • Adding fruit helps, but fruit isn't that sweet alone, and it certainly doesn't compensate for the sour/bitter taste of unsweetened greeks style yogurts!! I am a splenda girl, so I usually add a packet of that. I have even tried using the flavored splenda and they make the yogurt taste amazing!! I sometimes add a little…
  • I hate that too!! Or when I have a headache or otherwise feel too crummy to work out. :[ Makes me so sad! And I alwayyyys find it so hard to stay w/in my calories when I can't exercise! Its like I'm sad because I can't work out so I eat more. Completely counter-intuitive. Haha. Hope you feel better quick!! :]
  • I have never heard of this before but I think I have that too! Or some food allergy at least. Thanks for the heads up! :]
  • I was just reading the posts and not paying attention to the tickers and was thinking "where is this magical 225 number coming from??" and then I scrolled back and was like WOW!!!!!! Serious congratulations!!!!! That is just, amazing. :]
  • I don't have any children yet but I have to say, you women are sooo encouraging. I am only 21 and I am already scared about future, potential baby weight-gain but hearing how positive you all are is so uplifting. I just had to add a reply to let you know that I really admire you and thank you for calming one of my…

  • This post is why I don't even bother to make my diary public. I have lost 100 pounds but I do not believe people NEED to get ideas from ME... I eat what I want within reason because life is too short to always deprive yourself. I am currently at a 75/25 split of staying under my calories and going over a bit. In the end, I…
  • I go up three to five pounds the week before and usually start losing it the second, third, fourth day of my period.. ISH.. Lol every month is different but thats what I can expect!
  • 18 months should be plenty of time to lose that amount of weight! You need to do some MAJOR soul searching though... WHY do you want to lose weight? Ultimately, a wedding is NOT going to be enough to stop the binges. I know that because binges are like out of body experiences where your body literally says "give me that…
  • I love horses but don't own/ride any. I was always too tall!! Or at least that's what they said. :( I am a curves member tho!! :] Good luck!
  • Well, anything that doesn't have caffeine (which acts as a diuretic in large quantities) counts as "water" to me soo its fairly easy for me to get all of my water in! I especially LOVE freezing tea and making slushies! Best afternoon treat. Especially here in sunny SoCal where it was 75 degrees today! :]
  • What is a protein hot chocolate?? Sounds delish!! :] Oh and no, I do not stop eating at a certain time.. I find that it makes me anxious.. having to make sure I eat a balanced diet with the right amount of calories before THIS time.. I tend to stop eating around 9-10pm.. just depends on having a late night snack or not.
  • Yes working out will help.. As long as you burn more calories than you are eating.. You are my frieeeend  so I see that you weigh in a lot, so maybe the next time you weigh in won't be as stellar as your previous weigh-ins, but....you aren't going to gain ALL the weight back from one 500 calorie excess. Ideally, you…
