  • If your doctor has put you on an ultra-low calorie diet - i.e. around 600 calories per day - there is almost certainly a reason for it. I would go back to the doctor after a couple of weeks and see what they say then.
  • I like eating brown rice for breakfast. Eating breakfast foods makes me feel more tired, and no-one needs that in the morning!
  • Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Kidney Stone.
  • Depends. If you're in a city like London, then no-one is going to bat an eyelid, but if you're living in the countryside somewhere without a significant mixed-race population then not only is the kid going to stand out and perhaps not be able to identify as much with the culture they grow up in, but they might also suffer…
  • I think it's a bit cruel to any children a couple might have, but that depends on where the person is and how integrated into one culture or another both parents are.
  • Brown bread, and Quorn mince. I used to hate them both so much! Now I prefer them to white bread and beef mince!
  • I think it's terrible! Dolls aren't supposed to look like real people, they're toys. Her head is huge in comparison with her body because a huge head is doll-like. Her body is very long in comparison with her huge head because a long body is more fun to play with (you can get the clothes on easier, and all sorts of things…

  • People post this sort of thing in these sorts of threads because it's enjoyable to do so, and they're poking fun (I would not use the word 'bullying' to describe this thread, by any stretch of the imagination) because I suppose you can say that the thread topic is a slightly foolish one. As cmriverside noted, this forum is…
  • They probably are. OP, if comments in your thread upset you, perhaps the solution would be to leave the general forums for a bit, instead focus on the 'Groups' or 'Friends' aspects of the Community section, and maybe come back and lurk, without posting, for a bit later to get used to the manner in which people comment on…
  • Coca Cola. I used to drink so much of it every day/week. Cutting back a lot now though, and I'm giving it up completely for October!
  • No, it's not sexist at all. It's a preference. And even if it WAS sexist, who cares? It's your personal thoughts and feelings and you don't have to feel too badly about that unless you are mistreating other people because of it.
  • I'd like to wear some skirts! I haven't worn any since I went to Catholic school, ha. My calves are okay but my thighs are terrible, I just wouldn't be able to wear anything that even slightly risked showing my thighs!
  • Why would they buy you something? Isn't that a bit odd? I guess if that happened to me, I'd just take the stuff and use it, maybe they'll stop complaining afterwards and if not, at least you got free bath things to enjoy.
  • I guess you're talking about politics, right? I don't know about you guys but I pray for every politician to turn to God and do their best. I think politicians need prayers more than most people. They have so much more responsibility for people's suffering than regular people do, even if in reality they can't change much.…
  • I'm new to making soup but I tried out this delicious porcini mushroom soup just the other day. It was delicious and very easy to make. http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/porcini-mushroom-soup-recipe.html Ingredients: 2 ounces of dried porcini mushrooms 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil 3 shallots, chopped 1 tablespoon…
  • Congratulations! That's fantastic! :D
  • This sounds like a great idea for a goal :)
  • For new and reluctant runners, I highly recommend "Zombies, Run!". It can be expensive if you don't catch it on a sale (I think it is still on sale right now) but it's a lot of fun... and good practice for the future Zombiepocalypse!
