I tried chicken feet. I think I would have liked them if they were crispy fried, but they were Chinese style, soft and vinegary. I did not dig them.

I didn't think they ever take the bones out, do they? They're meant to be well enough cooked that the bones are edible. If they still feel hard or spiky, they didn't cook it long enough. (I love the little crunchy bones! >:) :D )

My word, that's confusing.

I'm sorry you had this horrible experience, I'm glad your husband is backing you up to get the money back, and I'm glad you've come here to give a warning. Who knows how many people you'll save from being similarly cheated? Well done.

I'm not much of an expert but lots of people here are. You might get good responses if you repost the question on the 'Fitness and Exercise' forum.

I generally try not to think with my butt. Although admittedly, some days it's all that's available.

As a working mum, speak for yourself. When I'm ill, I take sick leave from work. Why on earth wouldn't I? I'm not indispensable. Obviously kids are trickier, but if I can get someone to help out, I do. Martyrdom helps nobody. Genuinely not sure how your post was meant to help the OP at all.

And now I have a solid reason to break my muffins up before eating them, which up till now I just thought was a weird tic. Apparently it's self preservation. Imagine if you had just bitten right into it?!? :s :s :s

In one recent thread someone said she loses a pound every time she farts. So that's a contender.

I don't have this specific problem, but as someone with peculiar feet, you really need to make sure you have the right shoes and insoles before doing a lot of walking. I thought I had flat feet for years, but they're technically 'pronated' - the front part of each foot is rotated outwards, which causes the arch to collapse…

Does the bike help the butt? I'm just surprised because when I cycle I don't feel any butt burn - just quads and calves mainly. Even hard pedalling seems well within the comfort zone of my very untrained behind.

Do you cook them or leave them raw?

You could enter it as a recipe on myfitnesspal and it'll give you the breakdown

You may need to tighten up your logging, accuracy becomes really important when you're close to goal

Of course. Loads of people on here feel that way. That's how the body achieves and maintains a high body weight. When people go on about "I have a low metabolism", that's what's really going on - their body wants to conserve energy, so it makes then disinclined to move. I'm afraid it's part and parcel of being someone who…

I'm not familar with Alfredo, but you can make a low calorie white sauce by thickening milk with cornflour (cornstarch). It will be bland on its own, but some salt, pepper and garlic will help, and maybe a veg or chicken stock cube. I'd stay away from mixing the parmesan through the sauce. Season the sauce well with salt…

Flour + sweet potato. Mostly carbs.

That's not belly fat. That's just the shape of your belly. Not everyone is shaped like an ironing board. If you want to change the shape of your belly, your only option is to try and strengthen the muscles. If you try to lose fat from where you are now, you will lose muscle and end up too thin. It won't achieve what you…

I don't know, though, I don't add sugar to cream and it whips up fine.

You can use pumpkin/squash as well, or use tomato passata to make lovely tomato ones. @lporter229 this is a very gluten-dependent recipe, gluten-free flour isn't going to work here. You would need to find a specific recipe for gluten-free flatbreads.

Good grief, my head is spinning. Who knew instant macaroni could be so complicated???

Did you mean <200 calories? 10/10 for 'canned in olive oil'. I really hate the texture of fish canned in water, it squeaks on my teeth and sticks to the roof of my mouth. I decided a long time ago that having the kind canned in oil is worth the calories. I drain off the extra oil anyway.

... ... but you did. :/

Not these forums, anyway. We're concerned with losing fat in a healthy way that will let us keep it off. Losing it fast is pointless and will only lead to losing muscle and then putting the fat back on again.

What about people who break their legs? Are you going to check if they were careful enough before setting it, or refuse to treat them if they were doing a stupid skateboard trick or climbing a dodgy ladder? What about people with skin cancer? Better check if they ever skipped the sunscreen! "Sorry, we're not going to treat…

Let the zombie thread die!

I think you're really not eating enough. At your weight, you need a lot of calories to stay the same weight, so you can lose weight at a good rate while eating quite a lot more than you do - and I would strongly advise you to do that. It's a common mistake to think that faster is better, and our society is swimming in bad…

You're not actually answering people's questions here. Are you weighing your food? I'm sorry that some of the answers conflict, but that's inevitable when you ask for advice on a public forum. Not everyone agrees. You have to sift the responses to figure out which ones are most reliable. The best way to do that is to read…

And the idea that that fact should be used to price them out of access to healthcare is just perverse and horrible to me. It's not a luxury like life insurance, it's a basic need. But that's a whole other conversation. I have to say, I couldn't tell you how many people are overweight in my workplace - I don't really know…
