I'm 5'7" and looking to be around 135 or so ultimately :) ..I don't weigh myself very often though so going more on how i look /feel as last time i went under 140 (unhealthily) I looked gaunt, so if the same happens again I'll go a little higher and just aim at toning up!

I think you have to tailor it to what suits you! I'd love to do more strength training but as I live in a small room in a shared house & can't currently afford the gym that's not practical for me... so I'm getting my cardio in through walking as well as long shifts at a nightclub & relying on calorie control for the rest.…

I bought one recently!... and next summer I intend to go beach hunting....

Ooh just remembered a great one actually "Aww good on you... it's so good to see a bigger girl with the guts to wear a bikini!" I'd actually borrowed a friend's bikini and was wearing one for the first time in my life. It really was a heart sinking moment!! & I haven't worn one since.

Someone commented on an old fb profile pic: "Jamie Lee Curtis?!" At 25 years old I was a little uncertain about that! Also "Aww you guys look so alike... are you mother & son?" .....said about my OLDER brother & me when I was about 19 :(

I barely have any fat in my diet day to day so purposefully have some (sugar free) PB to get some fairly healthy fats in my diet. Plus it's delish!

I like your theory!! ...I have a pair of jeans that are too small at the minute, but have never fitted comfortably. Good goal :)

Ahh so glad there's plenty of other people out there doing the same!! :) cheers for all the relies everyone!! I feel like this makes it less of a diet and more of a lifestyle decision. I want to eat healthily and exercise more and the number on the scale tells only part of the story. So long as I'm strict with my diary…

Also (and I'm not being a wise *kitten*) make sure you've ruled out pregnancy. One of my friends dieted for 2 months, gained a clothes size and got very frustrated about it, and then realised she was actually pregnant.

From the experience of family members I think it's quite common for men to find they lose weight a little faster than the 2lbs a week, especially if they have a fair amount to lose. My Dad lost weight very quickly, and was told it was likely at least partly because he is muscular as well as fat, and therefore has a higher…

I think one of the biggest challenges at college can come from having just one shelf in a fridge or freezer for your food, and having very little personal space (assuming you live in halls or a shared house) and therefore not feeling like you have anywhere to exercise privately. I'm not into running at this point,…

Hey all 26 years old here, hailing from the UK (Wales originally, now Northern England). I'm currently in college retraining in woodwind / band instrument making & repair and working in an alternative venue and nightclub on the weekends to scrape by. Looking to lose a stone or so and get a lot healthier in terms of my diet…

I'm 26, 5'7 and a bit, and currently around 148 lbs. I'm looking to lose between 10 & 14 lbs (though going by the mirror a lot as I only weigh myself 3 or 4 times a year when I visit my parents). I went down to 136 lbs or so when I was 20 but looked quite ill & gaunt as I did it in a very unhealthy way, so I'm hoping doing…
