Thank you! I'll definitely look into different socks and to be fitted. I appreciate the input :-)

Nope, same socks as usual

I think totally busted. They have been with me for a while. I just love them and I haven't wanted to part with them till now

No calorie restriction at all, not on bed rest, definitely not twins, I'm eating at maintenance or a bit more. I work out three times a week (following doctor restrictions there). Maybe an appointment with the OB practice's nutritionist is in order. Baby very much love fruits and vegetables, so I can easily add in that. I…

My problem is that it is almost instantaneous. Like I'll be done eating what I think is a quality, well balanced, filling lunch, and within a half hour I am starving, like I hadn't eaten all day. I understand that I will not be full in the sense of what I've eaten in the past. I'm trying not to increase my calories eaten…

Nope :) but I will be a human submarine!

Thank you! To be honest I forgot about swimming haha. I have an indoor pool at the gym I go to, so that could be an easy transition :)

Got a thing for FFs, so definitely

Enjoying a post-workout recovery smoothie as I type this. It was intense. But good. I'm definitely out of shape and cannot wait to see how I have improved over the course of the summer. NSV: I squatted body weight +30, and did dumbbell rows at 25 starting. Tomorrow is gonna hurt though and then Thursday is my next session.…

Thanks everyone! The session starts in about an hour ☺️

It will be primarily strength, with some cardio thrown in there. The majority of the cardio will be on my own on separate days.
-
Well I triumphed!!! I did it!!! In fact, I did it twice
-
Yeah I think that is the case with me. All psychological. I just need to get over this hurdle.
-
Uh yeah. It is just a regular week...

I you want to do a better job at counting calories you can always get a food scale and that will tell you the size of the steak for instance and then you find that size in the food directory and there you go. It does a little time consuming, but you could always give that a whirl. Estimating the size of the food is ok, but…

Yes it matters what you eat. Have you thought about taking a cooking class to help you learn how to cook? Also like a poster above said, YouTube has a lot of educational videos. Right now you may be seeing results, but you may get to a plateau and then you could start getting discouraged. In general, eating healthy along…

I was also told that when you are doing strength training in particular that measuring inches will show you more results than the actual scale. I do not know how true that actually is, but I do know that I have lost 8 pounds in 3 months, due to diet, exercise, and general lifestyle changes. I am noticing actual muscles in…

I am in a group training session and it is $18 per session (2 sessions a week) for 8 weeks = total of $288. After the first 8 weeks, it jumps up to $25 per session ($400 for 8 weeks) and will stay at that cost. I do not have to pay a gym membership, so it works out to be about what I would have to pay in gas and a…

Thanks for all the advice so far everyone. I wish I could take a nap during the day (especially if nap class was an option for high school). I have decided that I am going to get some of those lara bars for my classroom to have on hand and help with getting to my goal for calories. I also am going to re-evluate my carbs…

Yeah I try to eat what I can but I just cannot eat back that many calories. I try so hard to do so because I know that will help me out. The main thing is that when I work out in the mornings at my personal training session, I have either a yogurt or a smoothie beforehand to get through the workout and then I have my…

Oh how I wish I could take a nap during the day (I am a school teacher and depending on the day I get out of work somewhere between 4pm and 11pm because it is a boarding school). I have tried the snack in the morning but it is difficult to do so because I work in a science lab, because I am a science teacher. After those…

I do take a multivitamin daily. It is one of those one-a-day women's tablets.

Honestly, I say you should sign up for one when you are ready. There really is not guideline to when you sign up after you complete an exercise program or something like that. I definitely say that if you do wait until June, keep training for it. Last year I signed up for one and did not get as much training in as I would…

QFT!

Happy :-)

I did one last year and have signed up for one this year. My time was 43 minutes last year, hoping to do better this time around. There are definitely a lot of people, so be prepared for that.

I am curious about this too, because I was planning on doing that as well

You could make a big old batch of chili and bring it to work along with a side salad. Soup is always a good option, especially since it can be any type of soup. If you are trying to make a better sandwich, you could do a wrap or something like that. Lettuce wraps are tasty.
