I was struggling with the last 8 pounds and found 1200 really hard to stick to. I recently changed my settings from losing 1lb to 0.5lb per week and enjoyed having those extra calories to play with. I've also started losing again although I think I'll need to do some strength training if I want a really toned body.

I make soup to take to work most days. My favourites at the moment are Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato, Spicy Lentil and Carrot and Coriander. They freeze well too so you don't have to have the same flavour every day!

QUOTE: What about corn chips made from corn tortillas? You can cut them and spray them with cooking spray and bake for 10 min at 350 with some fresh salsa. These are delicious, I tried it the other day. Highly recommended!

I agree with you BerryH. I lost 14lbs before MFP changed me to 1200 calories and it all went wrong. I found it really hard to only eat that much, was quite miserable and ended up putting on a few lbs because I lost my focus. I have now changed my settings to lose 0.5lb a week and am so much happier and feel healthier. 1200…

When I was giving up smoking I had terrible insomnia. A guy I work with told me to have a banana 30 mins before I went to bed. I did and I slept really well for the first time in a week. Having said that, I was so tired I might have slept well anyway or maybe mentally it calmed me down a bit. :)

As long as you're within your calorie goal I wouldn't worry about it!

I'm on a pill called Microgynon 30 and it's fab! Regular periods with no pain - awesome. I have heard that some people put on weight with it though. I did have an increased appetite at first but knowing what to eat that is healthy and filling helped a lot. (Plus it's free on the NHS in UK!)

It's my birthday this weekend and I'm already feeling guilty about the amount of beer and wine I'm going to drink on saturday night followed by an extra cheesy quesadilla on the way home - It's going to be great! Thank goodness it's only once a year!

There's no way you should be cooking 3 different meals each night - life's too short. Try and cut out some of the carbs you eat for breakfast, lunch and snacks then you can enjoy the evening meal with your hubby. For me, homemade soup for lunch has been a life saver. Packed full of vegetables and pulses it keeps me going…

Soup all the way! I'm lucky enough to live near a fruit and veg market and the vegetables are soooo cheap. I make a big batch of soup at the weekend, freeze some and take the rest to work. For about £4 I can make about 8 portions. 50p lunch? yes please!

Thanks Guys. Taking sugar off and ignoring that. Like the tracking cholesterol suggestion so might add that instead. Will keep an eye on the sodium and know what to do if I feel light headed - also a good excuse to eat salted popcorn!!

I can't eat when I've just got up so I keep some branflakes and raisins at work or pick up some fruit on my way in. Not very exciting but it's better than nothing.

I think you should add it so long as your being honest about the pace. Mine add up to 50 mins a day. I could get the bus to the railway station but I chose to walk so I think of it as exercise.
