I don't count them but I do try to limit them. On the otherhand, I have a desk job and so put myself at sedentary. I do log my walk to and from the railway station but I don't count every time I walk to and from the toilet, walk to and from the kitchen with drinks for meetings or walking up and down stairs to deliver…

I'm rarely hungry in the morning and feel like I'm wasting calories if I force myself to eat. I'd rather save the calories and really enjoy lunch and dinner with some fruit to snack on in between.

I don't find it hard to eat healthily in the winter - soups and stews packed with winter veg are yummy! But I do find portion control harder. I seem to be constantly hungry when it's cold outside.

I often have tuna mayo for lunch too but try to jazz it up by adding chopped red onion, peppers, cucumber, maybe a tin of beans or chickpeas (extra protein) and sweetcorn. Mix with a little low fat mayonnaise and add a bit of dried oregano and tabasco. I used to spoon it on to crackers but now use little gem lettuce leaves…

You say you can cut enough calories from your binges to maintain so why not try losing 0.5lb per week. It'll be a lot easier than the 2lb a week you were trying before and may be easier to keep off too. You also say you don't want exercise like a freak again - just do a little, maybe 20 mins 3x a week but force yourself to…

Definitely helped me. I've always been one for home cooked meals but my portions were way out of control. Logging everything really makes you take notice of what you're putting into your body. I've also been motivated to exercise more. Thank you MFP!

I have mini shredded wheat with strawberries or raspberrries for breakfast and that logged 11g for my sugar intake. I go over on sugar a little bit most days. If it's mainly due to fruit and vegetables I don't worry too much but I like to track it to make sure I see all the hidden sugars in things.

25?

No, Why bother? I'm not doing anything extreme. Just eating a healthy balanced diet and getting regular exercise.

It was taken at a religion themed fancy dress party. I was the Burning Bush - I even lit up!!

My ex was a bit like that. He'd ask me round and offer to cook dinner then say he was still in the pub so join him there. After drinking large glass of wine (he refused to buy me a small!), I'd ask what's for dinner. "oh, I haven't had time to get to the shops. Let's have a takeaway - my treat!". This happened so often I…

I was referring to Hairy Dieters - Low-Fat Minced Beef and Potato Pie.... Not a ready meal? Sorry!
-
I noticed in your diary that you eat a diet ready meal on occasions. If you know you're not getting enough calories why not switch to a regular meal? I agree with the extra protein as well....

The BeeGees - How Deep is Your Love I was singing ".... and you come to me on a submarine..." for years until someone pointed out it was "summer breeze". A bit more romantic!

Went through the same thing at the end of June although I was adding binge drinking as well as eating which was not cool. But with a bit of help from my friends I got through it, am back on track and losing more than when I was with him. Definitely get some healthy snacks in the house but also find something new to fill…

Education - If there are McDonalds in high schools the kids don't stand a chance!

I keep packets of popcorn in my draw at work. They are about 80-100cals a pack and come in all sorts of delicious flavours (not cheap though so I'm not allowed one everyday!).

When I was in 6th form, every friday, I used to come home from school and have an evening meal with my parents. Then I used to go to the pub with friends, drink 4 or 5 pints of ale and always have a McChicken sandwich meal (large) on the way home! I so should have been bigger than I was!

I love running to this ^ ! Also Sheriff Fatman and Midnight on the Murder Mile by Carter USM.

I always take my lunch to work and my current favourite is a spoonful of mexican bean salad (homemade and nice and spicy) on top of some green leaves with a big dollop of cottage cheese on the side. It's about 250ish cals and keeps me full for ages!

I'm no expert but I think it's too low. I'm 5' 5" and aiming for 126. Don't forget, it's not all about numbers - it's how you look and feel too!
-
I'm lucky that I don't get period pains anymore (the glorious pill!) but i do feel bloated and just heavier generally and this makes me want to work out. I feel a lot better for it too!

Give me big fat english chip shop chips anyday

Personally, if I'm going to eat something that is bad for me I'd want it to taste a lot better than McDonalds!
-
I agree with you OP. I'm a Brit and we're going the same way. Too much cheap pre packaged food is doing people harm. Personally, I love mayonnaise and chips but I also know that I love them even more as a treat every now and again. I also love fresh vegetables and feel so healthy inside and out when I've had a healthy…

Red wine - I try to only have a little glass but it somehow seems to get topped up!

I think it can be cheaper if you shop carefully. I have a fruit and veg market walking distance to my house which is dirt cheap but will go off after a few days so I stock up and cook big batches of soups and stews for the freezer. I think meat can be expensive. I'm not a vegetarian but I'll have a few meat free days a…

Stay under my calorie goal Finish my bottle of water at work Find my boyfriend who came back from holiday today - Hugs!

I love drinking, my boyfriend loves drinking, my friends love drinking..... It's hard to get away from. If I know I'm going to the pub in the evening, i'll often get up early and go for a jog before work so I earn a couple of 'free' drinks and don't feel so guilty the next day.

Works well in a soup. Peel and cube and boil in water until soft. Add stock or chilli flakes or low fat coconut milk or whatever you fancy and whizz with a hand blender. Yumsk!
