I try to get the majority of my fiber in early in the day. For breakfast I'll cut my regular cereal with bran cereal half and half (suggestion from a dietitian) and eat a ton of veggies at lunch.

Haaaa! This is so true!

I don't know. What's wrong with just eating Greek yogurt and not cottage cheese? Bottom line it gave me a guideline that helped me reach my calorie goals and drop a few pounds. We're not talking unhealthy calorie restriction or extreme weightloss here. What's wrong with eating non-starchy vegetables, lean protein and…

I was skeptical because...well... it IS Dr. Oz. However, I did his total 10 plan which (in a nutshell) basically just limits your meat, does away with dairy (except a set amount of Greek yogurt) and allows for all the broth and non-starchy vegetables you want. This came to between 1200 and 1400 calories a day for me which…

I just visited with a dietitian yesterday. She recommended 1% milk to reduce the calories. She said whole milk is fine if it fits my calories and I didn't want to do 1% but to not do skim milk.

Absolutely! Especially if your diet includes a lot of sodium (think pre-packaged food). If you don't drink enough your body holds onto that water.
-
Are you drinking enough water?

I had a Charge but recently upgraded to the Charge HR. I did find that MFP was over-estimating my calorie burn. I like seeing the steps that I take in a day and getting a better understanding of what I'm burning so I can be a little more precise with regard to my calorie intake. I could probably do without it so it's not a…

I'm with you. If I don't get up early and get my workout in A) I won't be nearly as productive and B) My chances of completing my workout are slim. I agree with Anna800 - go to bed early. Find a workout buddy or a scheduled group class to attend. If you have someone waiting on you or you have invested $$ in a class, you…

What worked for me was paying a lot of money for a set class at 630am and telling my husband so he would literally push me out of the bed if I wasn't up. It worked and I'm proud to say that he only had to do that for the first couple months or so. Going to bed early and laying everything out the night before just made it…

I personally avoid most fast food because it makes me feel bloated, retain water and gives me gas, but when I do eat it, I drink lots of water after and adjust my calorie intake accordingly for the next few days.

Since I workout first thing in the morning, I have some coffee with milk and a banana...just to get me going.

30 minutes. But I actually go which is a big difference than 5 minutes away and not going

Wow...that is amazing! Great job!!!!

For me, after a good scrub-down, it's much easier to keep the house clean. I do a really heavy clean once a week (dusting, scrubbing baseboards, ceiling fans, etc...) and just keep up with it during the week. I feel like I'm always doing something, but it's so nice to have a clean house. I also have 2 little helpers that…

I work out at 6:30 and just grab a banana and have some milk in my coffee. I eat something a little more substantial later.

I think you should pick one that you will actually go to. In my personal experience, the closest gym isn't the one I went to. I signed on with the gym closest to my home and went maybe 8 times during my contract term. Now I drive half an hour to a camp because I do much better when I have to go at a specific time or I'll…

I know it is frustrating because I am in the same boat. I started almost 3 weeks ago exercising a minimum of 4 days a week and logging my food, yet I am up 3 lbs. But...I know I am stronger and feel so much better. My diet has improved as well. I know it is hard, but try to focus on how you feel and not the number on the…

I too share your dilemma as I am used to getting up around 7:30/8am during the week. I'm currently on week 2 of getting up early for a workout and I have found these things help: 1. My husband committed to helping me get out of bed at 5:30 before I even started this program. He's been wonderful! 2. Join some type of group.…

I was on Celexa for about a year and did put on around 30 pounds. However, I would rather weigh 100 pounds more than feel the way I did before I started taking it.

Excellent lessons! Congratulations on your losses (*)

Mine worked yesterday after I unlinked and relinked in MFP and my BodyMedia dashboard on the computer. It doesn't seem to be working today though.

I work from home too. I know the struggle! 2 things that help me are to not keep junk food readily available and to move more. If the food is there and doesn't take effort to prepare, I'll eat it. In an office, I'd have to get up throughout the day to go to the copier, walk from my car/back to my car, to the bathroom, to…

I have prime and they use FedEx SmartPost for everything that you set up on a schedule, otherwise, all of my stuff from them comes UPS via the 2-day shipping option (free). I stopped using their recurring order option (they'll send it right away on a set schedule each month) since they only use SmartPost for those orders.…

Start at the low end and you can always go up. They send you a message when you get close to going over your data allowance. Then you can call them and change your plan or stop using data if needed at that point.
