Just because you are not attracted to them doesn't mean they are not attracted to you... Sex may have never come up, but it doesn't mean it wasn't thought about... We think about it A LOT...

Depends on the level of friendship. A workout buddy or casual chat friend. Sure. But the type of friend you bare your soul to? NO! I had lot's of "friends who were girls" in High School. I was attracted to every one of them, and eventually hooked up with a few of them. It didn't matter if they were dating someone else at…

I started slow as well. I find the biggest thing is to measure everything I eat. Even if I don't log it, I at least force myself to acknoledge how many calories I'm putting into my body at any given sitting. The next thing is to exercise, exercise, exercise. As much as possible. If you don't or can't belong to a gym, then…

Grats man!! Good Job.

I've also found that those who drink a lot of cocktails REALLY FAST tend to end up engaging in extra curricular aerobic activity later in the evening, burning lots more calories.. so it all evens out...

Easiest answer is to start getting up at 5:30am. Sux to get used to, but that's where it looks like you schedule has some flexibility. I tend to wake up at 5am to go to the track and jog. Otherwise I workout at work (there's a gym onsite).

Exactly, i've been watching my brother in law and this is sooooo true!!

Thank you, but we fail daily... We just don't stop trying.

Indeed a relationship is about communication. But when you get married (an I am saying marriage and not dating, there's lots of reasons to end a dating relationship) you are committing for life. You are not committing to stay with someone while you are attracted to him or her. What if the reason for a lack of attraction is…

I didn't marry a scale; I married a woman. I'm pretty sure the vows I took cover this one; "For better or for worse; in sickness and in health... as long as you both shall live..." Yep... If an unhealthy lifestyle is an illness, which I think it is (I'm not claiming genetic causes, more a behavioral disorder), then you…

For the record, the only thought that goes through our mind is same thought that goes through our mind anytime we see any bra of any type on any woman of any size... ...BOOBS!...

The Body for Life Program discusses this kind of thing in detail (I'm not promoting the system mind you, I haven't usd it in years). It recommends a cheat day once a week for 2 reasons. 1st: It allows you to keep temptation at bay, if brownies are a weekness it is easier to say no to them today if you know you can have…

I hear you. I didn't fel the need to completely give up gaming in order to lose weight. I did feel the need to give up MMORPGs in order to lose weight while maintaining my other responsibilities. I Had/Have 2 maxed out characters in WoW and a bank full of gold. I enjoyed raiding and playing the AH. But I also have 2 boys,…

CONGRATS!!! Same thing recently happened to my wife and I. I lost 50 and she lost 35 and now she's knocked up (8 weeks).

Nerd update, how about this one. After reading and discussing WoW on here yesterday I actually had a WoW themed dream last night. I was my main (Undead Destruct/Afflic Warlock) and was running around a variation of Undercity trying to get quests to start the chain that would introduce me to Firelands (I quit a before…

I know the feeling. At the beggining of my journey I had some very good coworkers who would push me to work out even on days I was making excuses. Accountability is very important. You may try to find someone on MFP who can workout at the same time you do. Chat about what exercises you are going to do and then do them…

I had similar issues with WoW. I realized it is hard to get up at 4:45am to run if you're still trying to get a raid together at 11pm the night before. And with 2 kids and 2 jobs somethingn had to give. I never did get to see Firelands though. I saw Patch 4.1 for about 2 weeks and then said to Hell with it.

Well let's see... I grew up playing the original Legend of Zelda Had and watched gobs and gobs of Transformers and GI Joes (and recently bought a few of the new transformers) Played World of Warcraft, until recently (No longer fits into my healthy lifestyle choices) I am an 80s and 90s movie buff Love Jeopardy and Wheel of…

Actually another pop-culture reference. I told my wife when we both lost the weight we were gonna do it like the opening scene from Jerry Maguire. You know... Up against the wall knocking books off the bookshelf and screaming to all heaven... yep... that's the goal...
