  • Humglum I think you would be ok. The instructors are well trained and the first couple of times they want you to get the technique right so you are on low weights. Then you can build up your weight slowly. Most classes have such a mixed bag of ability and no one really cares how much or how little you have on the bar. The…
  • Bumping an old thread!! I have dusted off my rebounder!!! Anyone know how many calories you burn in a 30 min session???? Thanks Charlie
  • Firstly I really sympathise - but diet coke is not the answer. You could try green tea, fruit tea or even black tea with some lemon (preferably decaffinated) Alternatively have you tried sparkling water? It taste a bit different to still!! The others are right - the more water you drink the more you get used to it! The…
  • Couple of things. Where are you working out with your HRM? Mine does the same when I am working out at home. Too many electrical things around that interferes with it. Not sure about the FT4 but on most of the polar ones if the battery is going on the watch the battery symbol comes on. You do need to keep your chest strap…
  • Thanks guys. I think I'm going to weigh in tomorrow and then go with a Friday weigh in from next week. Just think Monday is destined for failure as I will get really de-motivated if I don't lose because of what I've eaten over the weekend. Whereas a good weight loss Friday will keep me motivated over the weekend. x

EG at the moment there are lots of clean and presses which raises my pulse quite a bit - so at the moment I find I am burning more calories in the back track.…

Part of the reason for this is that some of the meat we get from the supermarket has been frozen before it hits the shelves. However my mother always re-freezes! Its possible you will be ok - but there is a…
  • Really interesting post - I'd never heard of zigzagging but it makes a lot of sense..
  • Havent found one that works really well - I think BBC had one on their site. You will need to use white wine vinegar instead of the egg. C x
  • Ladies thank you so much for your replies. I will keep on going - as I want to be healthy! Its comforting to think that I'm not the only one out there with these concerns and that it may not be an issue. Charlie x
