  • Jacqueline - What glitches are there? Libby - why do you need a bluetooth chest strap (which I have!) Is it for more accuracy (I find my bluetooth chest strap to be useless tbh!!) Thanks both
  • Great post and fab responses - so what lifting program would you recommend for someone (a women in particular) starting out? I like the idea of free weights but never sure what I should be doing (yes there are trainers hanging around the gym but I would prefer to hear from people who have actually struggled with…
  • In theory my wrist is fixed as I had plates and pins put in. I have managed box press ups and yoga down facing dog. But not full push ups. I'm guessing i need to be able to manage full press ups before embarking on insanity? I'm guessing it's not the type of exercise class that allows for modification??!!
  • Thanks guys. My Gym membership is expensive but thinking about it it also includes two kids memberships (not that they can use much of it apart from the swimming pool and the creche!!) It also covers any classes I want to do like Bodycombat ect. However I feel that as a member PT should be discounted and not sold at a…
  • Thanks Ladies! I will check with the gym but im sure its a 7ft Thick Olympic bar so I assume 20kg!!
  • Hello! This looks to me like the row that we do in Bodypump and no I wouldn't put the bar down until the end of the reps. Thats how I would approach it - but hopefully you will get some answers from some seasoned NROL4W! Charlie x
  • You see they had some of these but they all had benches under them - and I didn't dare move them! Also the weights looked more scary! I think I'm going to have to "Man-up" to do this program! Thanks for setting me straight! BTW are they really that expensive? £850?? - not sure I could afford one of these for home!
  • Brilliant - thanks for the advice. Charliex
  • 1. You're the size of an ant... what are you going to do? Go tot the gym and show off my super strength!!!!! 2. If you had a super power what would it be... Mind control like a Jedi Knight “You will like this survey – you will be nice on the forum” 3. How do you cross a lake? Or how would you like to? Walking on water self…
  • Thanks Guys! I need to start making my soups again, I think that might help too!
  • Ha Ha - Punch and a Kick for being so quick - White Rabbits!! Count me in too! Only 7 weeks until Christmas - thats a Stone challenge for me!!

  • Don't been disheartened - if that is a recent photo of you on your profile you are looking great! If your clothes are feeling better and you are looking slimmer then you are!!! The problem is there are so many things that can affect the scales! E.G If you move them around the room sometimes you can get a fluctuation of 1/2…
  • Afternoon UK bods! Lovely day here in sunny berkshire and I'm stuck in front of my laptop. I would so love to exercise in the mornings but just not an option. BK (before kids I would hit the gym at 6am) however AK (after kids) I know hit the dishwasher/washing machine/breakfast making/school bag packing/yelling/screaming…
  • I'm on the road a lot!! So I am always grabbing stuff on the run. Now I'm not sure if you're in the UK or not but as you mentioned a Pub I'm assuming you are  Marks and Spencer do mini popcorn bags which I find great - they have a mixed bag of salted,m cheese and onion and sweet n salty. All tasty and all very handy…
  • Count me in too! I'm Charlie (a girl!!) from Berkshire. I've been on MFP for about 18months but only seriously since April. Have lost 33 pounds and have about 50 still to go and I'm flagging at the moment! Don't know if its the darker mornings and evening or the change in the weather but I have been nowhere near as good. I…
  • Thank you Guys - You are all very sensible people! I agree with you all ! My husband has no reason not to run providing he listens to his body and wears the right shoes. Its a shame that this young lad has nearly convinced him of giving up something that sometimes he enjoys! As for me I always listen to my body (providing…
  • Bump - as I struggled to find this recently!
  • I don't delete. It took me a year to get to grips with this. I have some MFP friends who I know are really struggling and don't log on regularly. I send the a message to check in - and would never delete. Its really difficult this losing weight thing - so my view is that if you are my friend then I will stick by you!

  • My personal opinion is if you really want one - have one! But just one! Savour it - enjoy it and then move on! My experience is that if I really want it then it doesn't matter what I have it he craving will still be lurking. Its all about moderation! Not denial!
  • I cannot find the words to express truly how I feel about all of this. Angry, dissapointed, sad, just doesn't cut it. I feel for all of you caught up in this. I am not hugely religious - however I am praying to god in this instance for an end to this. Please take very good care of yourself and your family. xx
  • Hiya Unfortunately they don't work when swimming. I am not sure if there is a HRM that does? Anyway this link might help  http://www.polar.fi/en/support/product_support?document=/gip/PKBStoGIP.nsf/LINK/x5AAE8855A026372342256B92003372CD?OpenDocument
  • I breathe through my mouth when I run - only because I suffer from a bloked up nose when I run outside!!! The downside I find is the added calories from the flies I consume!!! LOL !!!
  • I found 1200 a day too hard to stick to so I adjusted my goals. I now have 1390 a day and I am losing 2 pounds a week on average. I also eat a large percentage of my exercise calories back. I think it really depends on the individual - for some it works!
  • Zumba without a doubt!!
  • Just out of interest are Graze boxes meant to be eaten instead of a meal and grazed through the day? I am fearful that I will order one of these - demolish the lot and still have my 3 meals - bang goes my calorie allowance. They sound awesome.!
  • Two Eggs with slice of bread/toast (no butter) Eggs boiled/scambled/ dry fried/poached ! Take your pick!! Very filling and can get you by until lunch!
  • I did exactly that so that I got more daily calories as I cannot stick to 1200 a day and it was making me feel like a failure! I am much more happy at 1390 a day/ Ironically I am still losing an average of 2 pounds per week and that is eating most of my exercise calories (I tend to be good during the week and over at the…
