  • Thanks Guys - I'm bumping this to see if there is anyone this morning that wants to contribute and then I'll post an analysis of the answers to see if there is any trends!
  • Here are my answers: 1. How much did you lose? - Nothing 2. Where u under your net WEEKLY calorie allowance? - Yes by 1 cal!! 3. Did u exercise? - Yes 4. Did u eat your exercise calories? - Yes
  • Let us know how you get on!
  • From Berks and have sent over a friend request!!!
  • I think you will suprise yourself! I actually found it "easier" (I use the term loosely!!!!) to keep on running than to stop and start again. There comes a point that you can keep going and going! Not saying that the last minute you aren't begging for it to end! You will be able to do it!!
  • Thank you guys this has been really helpful. I don't think for me there is any need to include a protein shake. However, I might include a little more protein in my diet. At this point in time I'm not including a weight training program - mainly as I have a shoulder injury, so I find it a little difficult to do any upper…
  • My Zumba class is taught by a guy. Funilly enough he gets about 40-50 of us at his class each week!!!! Not sure why?!!!!! I like men in classes! It adds a level to the workout. I also think there is something very sexy about a man who can move!
  • Hi Pandorian - yes my protein is set by MFP. OK this is probably a dumb question but is whey powder a "real food"? It sounds like a derivative from milk? Why do I need to increase my protein to more like 30%? Sorry I feel like I'm being awkward - I just trying to get some information around what the advantages are. You say…
  • Thanks Guys. Dellonious1 - that is a fantastic help - exactly the sort of thing I was looking for. Desirai - I daren't eat before I go!! Unfortunately you get to my size because you can eat even if you feel full!!!! lol!! I will have willpower - however I want to make sure I log the right sort of number of cals. My friend…
  • Thanks Folks - I will continue with my poached, boiled, scrammbled and dry fried eggfest guilt free!
  • I know I'm generalising but MEN! My hubby is like this! And over the years I have learnt that this is his way of showing he loves me!! Your Dad is reflecting his inability to help you. He is frustrated more at himself than at you - because he doesn't know how to tell you to do it any differently. I can see my hubby…
  • I also think its important to understand how your own body works and also the differences between men and women. I agree I don't think any of us are starving! I know that if I eat a big breakfast in the morning I am starving for the rest of the day. If I eat a big meal at night - I don't feel hungry in the morning!! Part…
  • Thanks Guys - I will wait until payday and invest in Zumba for the wii x
  • Did you set your age, weight and height ect in the HRM settings as that has a bearing on the calories. It doesn't sound too high.
  • Ooh I love Ostrich very yummy and I think low fat!
  • I can actually relate to this! When I was younger I lost weight and I actually turned into someone I didn't like very much. Very vain, I didn't treat men very nicely. I thought an awful lot of myself. However being fatter - lots of people like me! I am non threatening and "jolly" The truth is I don't much like being fat -…
  • Ooooh I could so go an Indian! Ok so.... Boiled Rice ( not Pilau) Tikka (not tikka massala) Stay away from cream sauce. Try and only eat half a dish of rice and main dish. Popaddums are better than nan bread. Think chippatis are even better (but might have to check that) Vegetable curry is better choice. If it was me I…
  • I have a little baby 8llb one which I have a love hate relationship with. I invested in a couple of DVD's to give me some inspiration. Ironcore was a good one for me. She goes through the basic moves and there there is a 30 min workout. However as a guy - with a 16llb, you might find this a bit tame. You've reminded me to…
  • Mines closed!!! Not sure why - I guess I'm not quite ready yet to share this part just yet - bit like my SW - not ready to share that either! I would tho if I was asking for nutritional advice otherwise what is the point! I'm sure I will at somepoint - but I'm on the beginning of my journey and still feeling a bit…

  • I don't think there has been enough HR studies personally carried out. Especially for the "non-atheletes" In my experience and how my body works - If I exercise at a higher heart rate - the weight comes off much faster. However if I work out too hard for too long - I have another side effect that me sleep is affected and…

  • Sorry just seen you have two under 2 yrs. Do you have a double stroller?? Could try and run with the stroller? You wont be able to go for speed but its a great cardio workout with weights!!!!!
  • Try some of the challenges on here. Most you are able to do at home - either a DVD or just stuff that other members have put on. The stair challenge is really good. Either running up and down it. Or a mini step routine on the bottom stair! Could try and making up a little routine that you can do when you have a few mins.…
  • I would agree with everyone else - its the support and encouragement that drives me to success on this site. I also like to see the reports and graphs that track your progress. You could always just Quick add your calories. I found with the pen/paper version I would lose it or someone else would write on it!! I have the…
  • Avocado is great! Mashed up with cream cheese - mine used to love it on toast. Salmon is good wholesome food. Again you can whizz it up with some cream cheese and add as a filling to Jacket potatoes or in sandwiches. Or just cut up with finger foods. Use whole milk (when he's 12 months) In the UK you can get the hungry…
  • Well done I think that is a fantastic NSV. :flowerforyou:
  • Thanks Sunshine - I knew you'd be able to help :-) Dragonbug300 - this would be in addition to my usual workouts, Zumba, Jogging/plodding (lol) Body pump Body combat ect. Just wanted to get something in first thing in the morning and this sounded ideal! (???)
  • I've had the same problem with Polar ones - they say that they are waterproof - but actually in the small print it wont record HR which is why I bought it. Need to find one that works under water!
