I agree with checking with your doctors office. They will probably give you free advice over the phone. Most hospitals also have a nurses line that is completely free to call for advice, especially in regards to babies, toddlers and children. They're there 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and always willing to help.…

I don't usually post a lot, but I felt that I should chime in here with some personal experience out of concern. I'm guessing this post will also garner a lot of mixed feedback. All I can say is this my own personal experience, and I have concern here. I'm not suggesting that the OP not move in next door, and I'm not…

4-5 eggs (poached or over-easy, no oils), 1/2 cup of old fashioned oatmeal, milk and a multi-vitamin. OH, and coffee...I can't forget my coffee. =)

Protein powder has been my go-to filler between foods, and after workouts. It would be really hard for me without it. Considering how much you get for the cost, it's pretty reasonable on the wallet for a supplement. I should note, I try to make an effort to get a good amount of natural protein from food in at each regular…

I have a similar situation (sort of), where I stand all day for my job. Unlike you, I get to fidget, pace and stretch for those 9 hours though. I log about an hours worth of 2 mile an hour walking (slow pace) in my exercise log, just to put *something* in there. I figure any other calories I burn I'll use as a buffer in my…

I count mine. With my German Shepherd it's either "power-walk WITH the dog" or "drag the human." It's the only speed she knows. We'll do about three-ish miles in 40-45 minutes. It's great for cardio. =)

A family member gave me Bob's inside out cardio DVD the other day since he had an extra, and I tried it out for the first time last night. Sweet Jesus. The DVD is brutal. BRUTAL! I loved it. So much in fact, that I turned around and bought the yoga one this morning. I can't wait to try it out!

Nope, no trouble at all, thankfully. Now more and more people are asking to have it done too. =) My work was more supportive of the idea when I mentioned how it would help me stay more alert, and also help with my weight loss goals. My keyboard is on a tray that lowers and raises to match the users preferred height. If I…

I also have a desk job also. I try to walk on all of my breaks, when I can. With a busy family most of my exercise is at night after my daughter goes to bed, or early in the morning before heading to the office. A number of months ago I had my desk raised so that I can stand all day (it's in a cubicle). I find myself…
