  • 0.6 kg (1lb) so I'm dead chuffed - I thought it would be much higher... course it could still catch up on me
  • Thanks that was at Celebration - got to meet all the Fetts and get a pic with most of them :-) Jeremy is really lovely - I'm sure he'll love your Fett costume as well!
  • My office kitchen often have cakes and things - I ignore them... all of them! Since I've started MFP (45 days) I've not touched a single cake or treat from the office and I am proud of this. I did have to ask people not to offer them (literally walk up to my desk with the box!) but then I would have been happy for them to…
  • There is a lot about perception in how people speak to people who are overweight. Smoking is bad - but smokers aren’t perceived to be the problem – it’s the cigarettes that are bad. No one tells a smoker they are an ugly smelly lump of cancer – that would be rude! Overeating* is bad – but it’s the overeaters that are seen…
  • I'm at general Sci Fi Fest during the day as a Ghostbuster... I'm hoping to doing a "River Song" ghostbuster (getting a "Song" name patch, wear my wig and wave around my Sonic!)
  • I do a lot of costuming at Cons and also charity collections so I've got quite a few... I am looking forward to being able to do a bigger variety of costume as I lose weight! My pretty much movie level Ghostbuster costume (my favourite of my many costumes!) And from last weekend - my Halloween party costume (not con…
  • Love the pink! I've got a FemFett costume too. With helmet Close up on the mini "helmet" And FemFett meets Boba Fett (Jeremy Bulloch)
  • I'm in the UK but I'm at a Sci-Fi event on the day and won't get home in time so me and some friends are going to a cinema local to the venue. In costume of course! (Any Yeovil peoples on here!?)
  • About 10 years later I quoted this back to her - she didn't remember saying it. She did teach me what was good to eat but we had big portions and I was bullied a lot in school (weight/glasses/geek) which lead to comfort eating. In fact her more or less ban on chocolate meant I was more likely to over eat it.
  • My goal is 15kg (33lbs) total loss by Christmas - I started a month ago and I've lost 5kg so far so 10kg to go in 9 weeks. It's a bit of a tough aim but I'll give it a go!
  • My mum told me I was too fat to have a boyfriend and no one would want me as a friend when I was about 14. Yeah that kinda stuck with me for life.
  • MCM Brum is closer to me as well... if you're in that area then the Cardiff Film & Comic Con (March/August) is pretty good too
  • I like LFCC - less chaotic than MCM I've found. I did MCM in the summer and spent the whole time trying to stop my costume from being bashed around. I liked MCM Birmingham tho - that was good fun.
  • I don't know if you are in the UK but some areas have a weight management scheme which you can ask your doctor to refer on to - they can provide you with one on one meetings with a nutritionist and support groups. (I know Bristol & Plymouth do this)
  • I was doing about 2200-2600 cals a day I think with exercising twice a week. I was getting very frustrated that I had lost no weight in the 9+months I’d been exercising even though my food levels were the same. Although my fitness has definitely improved a lot in those 9 months. MFP recommends I do 1890 cals per day but…
  • Poison Ivy - although for some reason I can't find a green skirt anywhere!
  • Hi! I'm Eva and my superpower is my Google-Fu. I can find pretty much anything online quickly - and if I don't know something it will bug me until I find it!
  • I enjoyed S.H.I.E.L.D for a good Friday evening cheer up TV show :-)
  • Wait til you see Blink. That one is so good but very creepy. My geekiness today is my shiny red dalek necklace... and my proton pack phone case :-)
  • Hey! I like cosplay - I'm more in to TV & films based cosplay like Doctor Who, Star Wars, Pirates OTC and Ghostbusters.
  • Not planning to as I just did LFCC on Sunday (ghostbuster) and two cons is a month gets a bit expensive (I wish they would spread them out a bit more!).
  • UK based geek here :-) I'm in to Doctor Who, Star Wars, Ghostbusters (check out my user pic - I figured me battling Stay Puft Marshmallow man was a good icon for battling the bulge!) Just starting my long journey in to a healthier weight and hopefully more cosplay options!
