"Bart's teacher's name is Krabapple? I've been calling her Krandle!"

and when they say something's not funny, you better not not laugh your *kitten* off.

Instead of the yogurt and seasoning, I just use hidden valley light ranch dressing.

Lifting heavy is not a number. What's heavy to me and heavy to you might be totally different even though we are both women. To me, lifting heavy means struggling to get the weights up on the 7th or 8th rep whatever the weight may be. Some days I can lift more than others, but regardless of the actually number on the…

I haven't been juice fasting, but I have been making a juice for breakfast everyday for about a week now. I've also cut out caffiene during the workday. I expected to have headaches, but suprisingly I've had none. Now, I'm not sure if it's because of the juice or not, but I've definitely had more energy during the day and…

just made one the other day with a leftover can of pumpkin... spoonful of pumpkin cinnamon 1 packet of stevia scoop of vanilla protien unsweetened vanilla almond milk couple ice cubes

beat me to it!

for the longest time my goal weight was 125. But then I realized...I was never that low even when I was playing basketball in college AND working out 2 hours a day. Plus, getting older doesn't help either. So now I'm sitting at 140, and even though I'm not completely satisfied with the way I look, I think this might be my…

I love leg day until it's time to actually do leg day...then I hate life. lol. I just like upper body cause i can wear cut-off t-shirts and actually see my muscles. my legs are always covered by pants so it's not as fun to watch myself on leg day.
-
I love upper body days cause of the way I look while lifting....LIKE A BEAST!! (ok maybe not) I love leg day because....ok no one loves leg day.....but I like it because it's such a good burn. it feels like cardio and lifting at the same time. it gets my heart rate up AND makes my legs feel like jello.

haha my husband and I do too!

I found a recipe online that's like philly cheese steak...but with shrooms instead of steak. my husband (who doesn't like mushrooms) actually ate 1 1/2 sandwiches before the texture made him stop.

vitamin waters have a ton of sugar...and taste like crap (IMO) How about green tea? There is also this stuff I found at the store once called "sparkling ice" or something like that. It was sparkling flavored water....and it's pretty fantastic.

change up what you're doing and crosstrain. use the stairs, elliptical, and bike too. I usually find myself getting "tired" around 20-30 mins, but if I switch to another machine I get some energy back.

I'm 5'4" about 140 lbs. I normally wear a size 8...my wedding dress was a 10.

had the magic bullet and it was ok. it would leave chunks of ice, but nothing too bad. now I have the nutribullet and it is fantastic. it completely destroys anything you put in there.

I would have put more effort into my sports career. I was always good in grade/high school, but once I got to college I didn't have what it takes.

I had a polar FT7, lost the transmitter, then splurged and got an FT60. After the watch crapped out on me, I will never buy another one.... not saying they are bad. I loved having mine and was pretty pissed when my 60 broke. It was a great motivator because it gave me target times and cals to achieve for each week. but,…

used to have a HRM and since it's crapped out on me I don't miss it. It took a while to get used to not looking at my wrist every couple mins, but I have a pink champion watch from target that was like $10 that works just fine with keeping my pace.

plain in pasta noodles (instead of sauce) with catalina dressing with mandarin oranges with crackers in salads I've been eating cottage cheese for as long as i can remember! I loooove it!

Though I've never personally had it, I've heard Keystone Ice tastes like light beer with a shot of cheap vodka in it? so...that sounds pretty gross.... also coors light....straight piss water....

I don't necessarily think the smith machine is BAD, it's just not as good as free weights since with free weights you'd be activating all of the stabilizer muscles as well as the main muscles. I used to use the smith machine for squats when I first started because my balance wasn't that great.

But you ain't got no legs, Lieutenant Dan!

Yes i was thinking in terms of muscle catabolism since OP mentioned wanting to start lifting. I love cardio and lifting and I do a mixture of both, but I make sure to fuel my body the best I can so I don't have too big of a calorie deficit
-
I would say cut down cardio, especially if you're starting to lift or you might not see the results of lifting. Also, if you are doing a lot of cardio I would suggest taking some BCAA and glutamine supplements.

planning on doing my first half in september also. I've been doing 5k's and 10k's the past 2 years and I'm pretty good at the short distances (I ususally place top 3 in my age group). I'm not worried about the mileage, but I want to have a good time. I'm way too competative to not do well so I'm really working on endurance…
