  • I prefer the GNC brand lean shake powder. I usually just put 2 scoops in my shaker bottle and throw it in my workout bag just in case I get super hungry to hold me over til the next meal. but i don't use it as a meal replacement, just an emergency snack.
  • Intervals, tempo runs, long runs, and crosstraining.
  • I don't know why, but I find it harder to run on a treadmill. I have a pretty long stride, so I find it easier to run outside because I can actually stretch my legs out and go. I just feel like the treadmill requires more effort....which is backward from what it should feel like. I feel like I can run forever outside, but…
  • This was me a couple weeks ago. I went to visit my bro in arkansas and when i got back i had a head cold. since the visit had kept me out of the gym for a week i was itching to go back no matter how crappy I felt. During my workouts was the only time I felt good during the couple days I had the cold. My sinuses opened up…
  • It's pretty terrible. tastes super chemical-ly.
  • take some aluminum foil to make individual "packets" with each chicken breast. Put the chicken on the foil, cover with a little bit of condensed cream of chicken soup, frozen broccoli, and shredded cheese and fold up. Bake for about 45 mins at 450 degrees. Serve with some rice. yummm!!
  • you sound like me.... I love my naps!
  • I might lose some of my friends over this, but I do take them. I'm a complete head case, and i mainly take them as a motivator to get to the gym. I figure if I'm gonna pay for diet pills I better eat better and work out....even though a good diet and exercise alone will make me lose weight. yeah, I'm crazy.
  • Peanut Butter. all I need is a spoon Ranch....I put that **** on everything. alcohol. I like to drink.
  • Third marriage?? Sounds like you're the perfect person to be giving out relationship advice. And when you learn what punctuation is, then come back and post.
  • I do a 60/30/30 HIIT...60 seconds walk/30 seconds jog/30 seconds sprint. My heart rate gets up in the 170's (sometimes 180's) during my sprints, but comes down to the 140s when I walk.... I will agree that they aren't necessary to lose weight, but mine has totally changed the way I've approached my workouts and I'm so glad…
  • I'm so glad to hear you guys worked things out and are back to the way things were. I haven't been with my guy nearly as long as you, and it's nice to know that even when you think things are falling apart that it's possible to put the pieces back together. Like I said, I did end up cheating on and then breaking up with my…
  • I didn't really agree with any of this the first time I read it. Although it did happen with me ex( i started to find his habits annoying and I ended up cheating on him), with my fiance I totally "fell" in love. We met by chance and I was just obsessed with him ever since. We've been together almost 4 years (getting…
  • can you do bike or elliptical? a little less impact?
  • this is what I was thinking. I have very flat feet, so anything with arch support makes my feet ache just because I'm not used to having the shoe actually push up my arches.
  • On a kind of side note to this question....how long does it have to be after you eat to be considered "fasted"?
  • The norms: Ipod, headphones, water bottle, HRM. and then sometimes I bring my own medicine ball. My gym only has 5 lbs ones (weak!) so I bring my 10. =)
  • This. I always feel like I'm doing everyone else a favor. The only time I would say wipe everything down before you start is if there is an outbreak of some sort. this happened at my high school one year and a lot of people got skin rashes. no bueno.
  • I'd say it's a personal preference also. Personally, I do cardio on a fasted state a couple times a week, but I always eat before lifting. Like you said, eating gives us energy, and I always want as much energy as I can when I lift so that I can always do my best.
  • maybe try taking some glucosamine supplements?
  • I like C4. Although lately I've been using the MIO energy....and it's been getting me through some awesome workouts.
  • As a math teacher, today holds a special place in my heart, but the only celebrating I'm doing is giving my students extra credit for writing it out to 100 decimal places! ETA: ohhhhh you're talking about THAT holiday.............
  • I went vegetarian for 6 months and lost a little bit of weight (about 7-9lbs). It worked for me because most of the unhealty junk food i eat is meat (chicken wings, hamburgers, gyros) so it helped me stay away from those temptations which lead me to make better choices. I've actually thought about going back meatless to…
  • kraft catalina dressing. or some peeled orange wedges!
  • Had the FT7, upgraded to the FT60 when I lost my transmitter. Best. Decision. Ever.
  • Have only been lifting for a couple months now. Not sure of my 1RM for anything but bench press, but here is what I can do/have done... Squat: got up to 125lbs for 3 reps Bench: Just did my 1RM Monday....105lbs Deadlift: I've done 135 for 2 or 3 reps before. This is a lift i need to start incorporating more for sure!…
  • I used to have the FT7, and if all you want is cals burned amd heart rate, it does the trick. I've recently upgraded to the FT60 and I am in love. It sets goals for me every week (cals burned, total time, and time in each zone) so it not only tracks my progress it also motivates me to get off my *kitten* to meet my weekly…
  • I guess when I think of deep meaning I think of my fiance... 1) Everlong (our song) 2) Brown Eyed Girl (cause I'm his) 3) Good Morning Beautiful (when we were in college I would only see him on the weekends...and he would always sing this to me in the morning) 4) Wonderful Tonight (again, another one he serenades me with.…
  • I like using it to warm up on leg day. I feel like I can go deeper to get my muscles stretched and loosened up before I start free weight squats, lunges, deadlifts, etc...
