  • hey everyone! i weighed in this morning at 188.2 which is 0.8 pounds down from wednesday (my official weigh-in day) and 2.8 pounds down from last friday. very happy with the result, especially since the only day i've worked out so far this week is monday due to being sick. hoping to feel well enough by sunday to get in a…
  • I did notice that, particularly with Amanda it actually made her boobs look weird. Not that I was like really checking them out...but it was weird...
  • meant to say i knew liz would *not* be voted off last night (since it's mostly the "older" crowd now).
  • so, yeah...i'm kinda tired of seeing liz, but i knew she would be voted off. and rebecca is doing awesomely and is smokin' hot! and two weeks in a row, rudy proved that he's a butt...i no longer like him...i guess now, i am rooting for amanda!
  • Leshawn, that was defnitely my pitfall too - portion control. I also recently bought a food scale and have forced myself to either weigh out everything or use measuring cups for everything. That has taught me a huge lesson!!! You'll be surprised with what little food you will be satisfied with if you know that it is…
  • WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! You look amazing! Fantastic job!!! :drinker:
  • hey everyone! so, i'll TRY to stay up on my water...for exercise, my normal goal is to work out 6 out of the 7 days each week, and last week was kinda bad for me in that respect. SO, this week i am committing to get myself back on schedule and work out every day except for friday, which is my day OFF! =) also, i like the…
  • happy friday everyone! i weighed in this morning at 191.0 (down 1.6lbs from wednesday, 2.2 lbs from last week), which i'm pretty happy with because i'm just a little bit closer to my short term goal of being under 190 by the end of the month!!! going to a concert tonight, so i'm hoping that all of my rocking out will burn…
  • Awesome post! You are spot on! Thank you for the reminder!
  • under tools, there's a bmi calculator within mfp, along with the approximate weight ranges.
  • yeah, I see where you're coming from...but in my 'bubble', i'd like to think that the contestants genuinely care about each other, and that the show is about changing lives...who needs to be there more? not amanda. i hate the game play...which is more important? the $$$ or the weight? amanda can accomplish the weight by…
  • I totally agree! I was so angy that Shay got voted off this week. I was also kind of upset with Amanda. If I were in her position, I would have asked them to send me home instead of trying to plead my case against Shay. She so clearly needs to be there, and Amanda can make it at home, even though she doesn't seem to think…
  • WOOT WOOT!!! Great job!!!! :drinker:
  • have you tried eatingwell.com? I've been using that lately and there are tons of great recipes out there, and they always include the nutritional info as well. =)
  • WAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!   I do the Firm too! They're killer!!!
  • Great blog, Kim! I would like to get into that habit myself - I think it will be very helpful to you! I share a lot of your frustrations, although I am not a sahm. Did better on the water yesterday...I have a checklist next to me at my desk while at work so that I can cross off my bottles as I drink them. My goal is to…
  • YES!!! It really does matter for me. I retain water like nobody's business a couple of days before. Then, a day or two, i pee like crazy all day long and lose it again! At least 2lbs worth! If you can avoid weighing in, I would...or at least just know that it could be wacky and not be too hard on yourself about it!!!
  • so my water totally sucked yesterday. i have no idea how much i drank, but i know it way under my goal. and tomorrow is my own personal weigh-in day, so today, i will be guzzling it down (and taking a thousand trips to the bathroom)!!! my goal for today is 120oz.
  • I should have read this earlier to see the reminder about the water!!! I think I'd like to shoot for at least 100oz of water daily. I'm going to assume the bottle that I refill at my desk holds approx 20oz, so I'm not tracking so well today. I think I've had maybe 1-1/2 bottles. Time to start drinking!!! I'm happy to say…
  • CONGRATULATIONS!!! I know it is an amazing feeling...keep up the great work!!!
  • 10/30/09 Shelley ~ 226 leshawnturner ~254 Emily-- 269 Dawn Ann 287 Charity - 194 (didn't read late enough yesterday to know that I was supposed to remember my number from this morning...this is actually wednesday's weight for me, and i'll remember next friday to remember the number!!!)
  • jeremy...you are AMAZING and INSPRIRING! what an accomplishment for you! thank you for sharing your story! keep up the great work! -charity
  • I currently weigh in on Wednesday mornings also.
  • I actually just bought one at walmart...my only criteria was that it needed to be digital. i think it cost 20 or 30. you can get ounces, pounds, and grams on it. not sure of the name brand. there were really only 2 digitals to pick from, one that was basic and one that had lots of buttons on it, we just went for the most…
  • Fatty78...I also think that's an awesome idea with the ticker! I wish I had thought of that when I was setting mine up originally. The big number seemed very overwhelming. Almost there though...I have to be under 170 to not be obese anymore, and as of this morning, I'm 24 pounds away! 140 or less to not be overweight.…
  • OK...so I've been on MFP for a while...I think I joined Jan 08. At my job, we do a 'biggest loser' type competition annually, and that's when I found this site. I lost some weight in 08, but sadly, gained it all back and then some (like I always have), so when I started this year in January again, I was heavier than I have…
  • Does it count if we originally HAD 100+ pounds to lose? =) When I started MFP, I had about 140 pounds to lose, now I have about 55 pounds left. As far as exercise goes, we got an elliptical at home, which I L-O-V-E, I run, and I do 'The Firm' DVD's. Between exercising (I try to do something every day if possible) and…
  • GREAT JOB!!! It takes a lot of hard work and constant focus but it feels awesome! Keep up the great work!!!
  • ABSOLUTELY!!! I stopped logging for quite a while because I felt comfortable with what I was doing..and although I was still losing, it slowed down quite a bit. I recently started logging everything again, (and bought a food scale this time too!!!) and I am seeing AMAZING results! It really does help!!!! :flowerforyou:
  • WOW!!! That is completely A-MAAAAAAAAAA-ZING!!! That is exactly where I want to be!!! Thank you for letting us all know that it is possible! And congratulations on your great success!!! :drinker:
