Bump (I know, the thread has pretty much died but I just had to remember this)

BUMP! <3

2-5 a day. Eggs are a go-to for me for breakfast (scrambled, over-easy, making a no flour "pancake"), but on top of that I absolutely LOVE hard boiled eggs, so that's why I eat so much more than just the 2 at breakfast.

Bynsky... omg, I LOVE your profile pic!!!!! (I know, not related to thread)

I'm completely in the same boat!! I'm going over on protein and such but still having trouble getting enough calories...
-
Hmmm... back when I had a broken toe I could do everything except wear pointe shoes during ballet. Sorry that yours is being so troublesome, I hope it gets better soon! I have a hip injury right now so I'm definitely feeling ya on the frustrations and tweaking of workout routines.

5'4, aiming for 120... but will probs end up around 123 with all the muscle and such.
-
I'm sure once you started getting smaller that you'd lose a little bit of your LBM too. Once you got to 140 I don't think you'd be as such a low BF% because of this.
-
Hmmm, I think I need to look into this bc I'm actually only hitting about 20g of carbs a day anyway.
-
I'm not really doing a low calorie diet at the moment tho, I just started doing South Beach and having a lot of trouble even reaching 1200 calories a day (and don't get me started on my deficit when I exercise). I'm not worried about cravings if I take a free day/meal, I guess I'm just moreso worried about everything else…

So how extreme do you go when you take a break? Is it simply like 400 extra calories (or any number for that matter)? Or is it incorporating "banned" foods from your diet back in temporarily? This is where free days have kind of confused me.
-
I think this was sorta the answer I was looking for. If I planned a free day once a week would it actually pay off in the long run, or just add excess calories in the long run? I don't want to slowly undo my dieting. I know friends who do a free day once a week and they look pretty amazing.
-
but would that really have an effect in the first three days? After that, sure, but literally the DAY AFTER I stop dieting? I'm just really lost how it would happen that quick.

Sorry, I logged my weight on my profile on Wednesday but forgot to do it on here as well. 129.6

Unless you're making your own pasta, wouldn't it just say on the box whether it's measure dry or cooked?

Funny you should mention that, I didn't know we were going there till we were already on the way. And to those asking I chose the lemon pepper grilled rainbow trout (only the plate, not the dinner so it only came with 1 fillet of fish and only two sides) and I got brown rice and apple sauce with it... but if I wouldn't…

Yea, I felt into the 2nd week that I was getting too comfortable with the workouts so I switched things up a bit. I only did two weeks of month 1 and now i'm doing two weeks of month 2, I'll follow that up with the recovery week then go back and finish the two weeks of each month I skipped. I felt it was the best way to…

I've been doing Insanity for about 2.5 weeks now, and while I've been enjoying the workouts I haven't focused at all on dieting. Yes, I've been trying to stay under and such but I haven't actually changed WHAT I eat. --Plan Meals --Grocery Shopping --Not only stay under on calories, but CARBS and SUGARS too :) :) Oh…

4-5 lbs this month would be awesome! I'm in the last 10lbs I wanna lose so it may be difficult, but I think I can do it :D

Hola everyone!! I'm Roxanne. I've been on a break from exercising ever since my last season on my university's dance team ended in April 2011. Still trying to get my life together since graduating and unfortunately it doesn't leave much motivation to work out. I'm 5'4" and 130 lbs. There's not really much weight for me to…

I feel ya, I wanted to start on the 1st but literally came down with strep throat on 1/1/12. I'm two weeks later than everyone else. Starting weight: 131 Fit Test 1/16/12 Switch Kicks: 65 Power Jacks: 56 Power Knees: 76 Power Jumps: 27 Globe Jumps: 10 Suicide Jumps: 10 Push-up Jacks: 12 Low Plank Oblique: 14 Forgive the…

Basically, your fat burning zone is the Heart rate range where percentage wise you burn the most calories from fat. Don't let that mislead you though, if your heart rate goes higher into a cardio range, you'll burn more calories all together (including fat calories), but a higher percentage of those calories won't be fat,…

I'm sure that's part of the problem as well, I'm already working on upping my water intake... idk, I just feel like that won't completely solve the problem,
-
Good luck!!!!

@ProTFitness: I've never really thought about it like that. I'm already aware of how much I love kickboxing, but I'm curious as to how much I would like the speed and agility aspect as I think it could have a lot of benefits... Great point, thanks so much!!

Hey girl! Let's go to the RAC together then tonight! I'm feeling a little low on motivation today as well and I always work 250% harder when I'm with someone else and I can push them too. Sound like a plan?

Honestly I'm getting a little angry at hearing all these people say it's hard to women to bulk up so don't worry about it. The truth is it depends on your body type. All the women in my family (including myself unfortunately) just pack on the muscle with little effort at all. But speaking from experience, if you notice…
