Did a VERY slow walk/run Sunday over the upcoming 5k course I will be doing the 20th. A lot of it had no sidewalks, and traffic was not blocked, so not a lot of real running to be had.

5.5 miles on the treadmill today, did not feel like running in the rain today.
-
I think I read you were going to be in south GA, but if you are up this way... 20-May: Run the Rails 5/10k in Buford, GA. I'll be running it! Parts of the course I run almost daily.

Got 5 in this morning. Seemed like 50. Or maybe I just feel every bit of 52 today. Oh well, there is always the next run.

I'm 6'0", 260 lbs, 52 years old. I generally burn > 1,000 calories running 5 miles, about 10,000 steps. Today it was 1,118 calories. If I'm doing interval training for those 5 miles, I've seen it go to 1,600. I'm using a Polar HR7 monitor and Endomondo to track runs. Using Endomondo, the Polar app, or MapMyRun, or Moov,…

I did a Rugged Maniac with my stepdaughter, it was a blast! It was very hot though, so the water obstacles were welcomed. Have fun in the race and good luck!

Starting off the month with a 10k run this morning.
-
I'm in for 65 this month. Barely made 60 in April, so hope May will be better.
-
Agreed! Some of my best races have been in the rain, and I actually enjoy running in the rain, but dry clothes at the end are a must. Riding home for an hour and half in wet clothes will not be fun!

I was able to get up early and get in a 5 mile run this morning. I completed my goal for the month! Time for a nap!

Well, I got in 6.21 miles today! This is the first 10k I have run in a long time. It wasn't a race, just a run. For me, not a bad time, 1:12:53 Last 10k race for me was about 2004, maybe. Not too far off my goal now. He could..go..all..the..way!!

So busy, so far behind on this thread and on my runs. I may be just able to meet my goal this month.

Have been working way too much to even post here, have like 15 pages to catch up on. I did get in 5 on Tuesday and 4 this morning. 45.3 of 60 miles

Hi all! Work is crazy, but managed to get 5 in this morning, and averaged 30 second faster miles than my regular 5 mile runs!
-
Wow! There were some great pics and stories from this weekend! Hope everyone is healthy and has a great week! I got in 5 this morning.

5.3 today, awesome weather!

You may want to try AthLinks or Active.com to look for local races.

I think this is awesome! Maybe you can take the first step at home with a punching bag or a speed bag. You can get a bag and gloves and wraps for under $100. I'm not a boxer by any means, but I started that way and found it to be a great workout, and a fantastic stress relief! Stressed? Angry? Mad? Just tape a pic of…

I am a data geek, so I would totally go for it. As @sijomial said, you can get some useful information out of it. And the fact that it is free, gives you really nothing to lose.

Too cold for me to run outside today, so 5 miles on the dreadmill. Looking forward to hiking some this weekend!
-
Tornado watch yesterday, did 3.5 on the dreadmill. :(
-
Wasn't up for a training session today, so took a 5 mile free run. I turned off all prompts for distance and time in my running program and just enjoyed some tunes and the beautiful clouds and scenery. I was amazed at how consistent my lap times were. No more than 31 seconds difference between fastest mile and slowest mile.
-
Only 2.5 today. Was not sure on how ATL traffic was going to be with a major freeway shut down, so I had to cut it short today.

@girlinahat I think everyone has been there at one point or another. Running solely for a number isn't the best motivation for some people. Just run when you feel like it and do it because you enjoy it!

Profile is only one I can see.

Indeed! About a 2 hour nap... :sleepy:
