  • Still taking Omiprizone every other day but I plan on reducing to twice a week next week. I'm feeling ok but I have awful gas by 5pm and burp a lot! Any natural remedies for this? GasEx is another pill, but I'm trying to avoid taking more pills.
  • Only 5 more lbs to reach my goal of being 1/2 my body weight! Dropped my wedding rings off to be resized from a size 8 1/2 to a 6 1/2 :) Life is good
  • Great posts here. Feeling happy and resentful over the same thing happens to me daily. I'm getting over it and look forward to my weight NOT being the one topic everyone wants to talk about when they see me. I'm half the body weight I was a year ago. I'm a thin person now. Get used to it cause I'm here to stay!
  • Hiking with my husband and he is struggling to keep up. It feels great to actually enjoy a 7 mile hike!!
  • Love reading these! You're all awesome!! Here are a few things I really enjoy now... 1. Wearing tall sexy boots (that zip easily) 2. Grabbing ANYTHING out of my closet and knowing it will not only fit, but look good on me. 3. Painting my toe nails while breathing :) 4. Snow shoeing, Ice Skating, X-Country Skiing and…
  • Yes!! - Loud and sometimes embarrassing.
  • GNC carries baked protein chips (several diff flavors). 21g protein per bag. 120 cals - Total Fat 2g They don't taste too bad. A little chalky but that only keeps you from eating the entire bag (which is good because 21g of protein can be tough to digest). Trust me I know from experience!!
  • Thanks for the good info. I went back on it twice a day now I'm down to one daily. Hope to try every other day next week and see how I feel.
  • Way to go. You're both looking terrific.
  • Just love reading all these NSVs by AMAZING people!! We're rocking it - an oh ya - did I mention I put on a size 6 jeans yesterday. I wore a size 24 less than a year ago!!! It's finally sinking in that I'm a small person now. It really takes a while for your head to catch up with your body once you get going.

  • Thank you all for the feedback and ideas. I'm hoping the Dr will have a natural remedy for me to try even if he gives me another prescription to use so I can slowly get decrease the med over time. • Still working on retraining my brain to see myself at nearly half my body weight. Phantom Fat is a great term for it. Going through my day as a fit person is an amazing gift, but it's easy to forget that I'm a small person now and the fear of gaining it all back plays into my psyche every day. Great article. Thanks for…

  • Scales have stalled in Nov. I'm feeling great but at nearly 6 months post op I am eating more of a variety of foods. I guess I should get back to more protein shakes. I'd really like to see the scales move again. Ugh
  • Big Stall - I've not lost one pound this month. A little frustrating but I do feel I'm toning up so I'm hoping it's muscle gain. Need to take my measurements before Dec goals are set. At nearly 6 months post op I knew things would slow down a bit, especially considering that I've lost 85% of my weight. Really need to be…

  • @anbrdr - grew up in a family of thin people also. My mom and sister have always been 100 lbs soaking wet. As I've aged I realized how much they excluded me because I wasn't a size 6. Now that I'm fit I feel a lot of resentment when they compliment me. I almost want to tell them to shove it sometimes. I'm also realizing…
  • Great goals here gang - let's keep it going in Nov. I've struggled on the scale a bit, but I'm increasing my running times and feeling stronger. This week I'm focusing on not letting carbs creep back into my life and drinking more water. My new goal is to be more conscious and cook lite recipes for the entire family…
  • Grilling Delmonico Steaks for hubby and daughter and I'll shave off 2oz for my plate. Seasoned Asparagus and garden salad with feta cheese (or I may opt for Asiago - I've been on a kick lately)
