There is a lot of research showing the harmful effects of sugar. Just google it if you aren't familiar. It's a terrible thing to add to food despite how much more palatable it can make stuff taste.

How were you almost "destroyed"? In fact, you don't mention anything bad about what you did and that it surprised you that it was a crash diet since it seemed "normal" to you.

Herballife products are okay but are hindered by the multi-level marketing it relies on for most of its sales. There are better supplements you can buy in stores IMO. The marketing might not be as nice and trim on those products but many of them have reliable reviews you can find easily online. Herballife tends to market…

Nature's Best Isopure "Zero carb" and "Low Carb" protein powders are high quality, taste good and have the lowest of carbs of any commercially produced protein powders. I like the creamy vanilla flavor a lot. It mixes well with anything to produce great smoothies.

Are you going to go to Vietnam as well? It's too bad you're doing keto right now when Thailand's best street food involves some sort of rice. Have you had fish cakes there yet? I love that but not sure of the carb content because some starch is used as a binding agent.

Wish I had the money for cosmetic surgery. I wish all of you here could help me!

Can I see shirtless photos of you? I want to see how your skin looks losing all that weight.

I haven't found any particular method that has worked "well" for me other than to avoid those types of trigger food altogether. Yes, I feel deprived sometimes and I am scared that all the self-denial will lead to a really bad binge sometime soon. I could let myself have some but whenever I did in the past, I still ended up…

I find that in general, "vanilla" protein powder can be mixed with anything and will turn out good. Want it to be chocolate? Just add chocolate powder. Want it fruity? Blend with fruit. You can't really do the same with chocolate powder and have good results. I love strawberry flavors by the way but am afraid of buying a…

More carbs than protein? Lame.

Yeah, you're really vain. Also, what's the deal with blurring out the pixels on your eyes? Scared someone will find a shirtless photo of you?

I think people in the weight area are more likely to judge you for bad form and poor gym etiquette than how you look.

I have about ten more pounds to lose and feel like weight loss has become exponentially harder as I'm closer to my goal. I have to bust my *kitten* off and eat super carefully to lose about .25lb a week at best.

Yeah, I'm jealous of those people. Having trouble eating more calories? Ever thought of nuts? A handful could run you 300-400 calories. I think some of them are showing off as well. If you feel full at 1000, 800 or 1400 calories, then don't eat. Most of us aren't lucky to be born with such golden appetites.

Whoa, that's really cheap! 24 hourfitness just had a "sale" last month for $26.99 a box. That's not any cheaper than Amazon's $25. Damn, I want a $20 box of quest bars.

I'm pretty good at figuring out how to get in more food with limited carbs. Your options are rather limited, unfortunately. Cheese is a great one, as well as meat without any sauce. A little salty sauce is okay but avoid ones that are sweet (ketchup, teriyaki, bbq, etc.). I try to marinate with soy sauce, onion and garlic.…

I was just there. The mix and match "sale" still comes to about $2.25 per bar which isn't cheaper than Amazon's $24.99 per box. GNC's quest box sale is also $24.99 but you have to pay to become a gold member to get that price. Doesn't seem good at all.

Is this a spam post? It is your first post afterall.

Any place to get them cheaper than $24.99 for a box of twelve?

I dislike how Thai restaurants are so commonly serving Vietnamese salad rolls that many Americans now think the the dish is actually Thai. In Vietnam, it's a common street food for lunch (not appetizer) wrapped with sliced pork belly, prawn and garlic chives. The sauce is generally less sweet than the American version and…

That's kind of a lot of oil. Is there anyway to make this lower cal?
-
I'd say no but then again I struggle with binging and overeating so it's difficult for me to listen to my body's hunger signals.

You're gonna get jumped on for wanting to limit carbs rather than calories here. As you know, carbohydrates elevate our insulin which prevents our body from accessing the stored energy in our fat cells as energy (it does allow a one way streak of storing fat however). A lower carb diet is almost always lower cal as well…

By the time I made this thread, I had already donated the clothes but didn't really have much time to process the feelings. I didn't want to give them away because I kept feeling like I'd be fat again someday and will need them. One morning I just threw all the clothes in a bin and drove to a Good Will trying my best to…

My personal favorite are the zero carb/very low carb whey proteins from Isopure. Unfortunately I was foolish and decided to spend my supplement allowance on expensive Shakeology instead of buying more Isopure. Now I'm stuck with an overpriced product that tastes bad.

I want to know what the strawberry flavor tastes like. I recently bought the vanilla flavor and find it quite awful. My standards for taste are rather low so I was surprised that I hated vanilla so much. It tastes like a plain shakeology without any flavor masking the bad taste (i.e. chocolate).

Tastes like an ice slurry made of water. It can sort of help with an ice cream craving but at $5+ per pint, it's not worth it to me. I bought one each week for a month and realized it was a huge waste of my hard earned money.

Yesterday was my first day at really attempting a low-carb diet. I ended up eating under 150g which I guess isn't low-carb at all to people on ketogenic diets. The fruit and vegetables are where all my carbs came from. I work out in the evening and was noticeably WEAKER at the gym today. I felt unenergetic and my lifting…

I just tried cherry pomegranate crystal lite mixed with greek yogurt and it was nasty. The yogurt really brings out the artificial of the powder in a way that water doesn't as much.

Junk food is almost always high in empty carbs, which will spike your insulin and cause your body to store energy in your fat cells.
