  • Hi and welcome! I commute to Kemptville for work, but don't live there. :) We have also went up there to go canoeing and fishing at Drifters Outdoors on hwy 43.
  • I like that, everyone should look at the positive side! :flowerforyou:
  • Opinions on this link? Is this all true? :( http://www.alive.com/articles/view/16577/good_sugars_bad_sugars So if you want to use sugar in drink or food (assuming the recipe will work with it), then what sugar is best choice? I kinda lean towards raw honey comb if I can get it.
  • Ok, so IS there a reasonably "safe" sugar to look for in food, seeing that almost all processed foods have sugar or a substitute sugar in some form? Which ones would you avoid? I'm trying to steer clear of artificial sweeteners, but it's difficult to do, especially when all of the lower caloric treat-foods seem to have…
  • I think they might, if you mean a full backed bra? I just checked out the page, it's listed as the Sport version, but I could be wrong?
  • Wow, that must have been extremely painful to remove!
  • Me, too! But the leftovers I would get into are probably not always healthy choices! ;) But agreed, muffins, bagels, fruut cups, etc are not my cup of tea for breakfast either.
  • Yep, I can't eat any kind of nuts at all, due to allergies. And you're right on with the yogurt. It's ok with granola in it, but it's not a fav of mine.
  • That would have to be fake PB on my part, since I am allergic to the real thing. ;)
  • There used to be things you could buy to tamper down the dander (sprays, shampoos, etc), and I imagine there are still some on the market (Allerpet used to be a big seller). You can also limit your exposure by keeping the dog out of your bedroom, vacuuming often, investing in air cleaners, letting someone else groom the…
  • At least you're honest for wanting "a peek". I imagine there's more than a few guys that popped in here under stealth mode. As for the topic at hand, I find that some of the sports tops, such as those that are made of the bathing suit type material and have an inner liner, are good for at-home exercise. I say…
  • Thought that I, too, was going to come in here to give some people a piece of my mind. Glad I didn't have to, gotta watch the BP and all. I admit to scrolling back for a second look at your abs, if that means anything to you? Great job! What is even greater is the moment when I realized that there were so many guys in here…
  • Smokey, I bet you already know a lot of these common sense things already. The hard part is to get motivated to follow them. As someone who has lost/gained/lost/gained (100lbs one time!) I can give you a lot of tips......but NO ONE can make you ready to do it but YOU! Good luck in your quest. It makes my heart sink that…
  • rocklion, good luck, I'm new here, too. You can ALWAYS start over! Just a little bit every day. Don't think you have to go right at it all at once, and lose weight by X date. Make small changes to start with. You have little kids, and from experience here, I can say that makes it really hard to get things back on track…
  • boatsie, that's awesome! I used to run, too....in my fitter days. I miss running (at least in good weather, hahaha), but not sure I will be able to anymore. However, I'm going to try it eventually when I am a bit more healthy. I want to be you. :)
  • Hello ladies, I'm not quite 50 (I'm 48), but my body feels like it's 70, so that has to count for something! ;) I've had the same sort of issues: having a doctor go on and on about my weight (as if I'm too stupid to know this?) and to hate myself for eating-eating-eating.....and sitting around not exercising, internally…
