If you actually take your measurements, and do this every few months you will be amazed at the changes. I have kept a weight chart for about 3 years now and watched myself go up and down, hopefully this time I will lose the weight and keep it off. When I look at those charts, I know I can do it because I've done it before.

Try eating something before you go...that way you are not hungry when you get there. Also, try to make the best choice possible when you get there.

Try eating protein for breakfast instead of carbs. You will not be hungry for 4 hours. If you must eat oatmeal, try adding walnuts and use almond milk instead of 2% milk, less fat. Check out the South Beach Diet, but you have to read the chapters in the beginning, as he explains insulin resistance.
