  • I'm having the same problem.... :( And I really can't explain it. My eating hasn't changed. I'm always under my daily goal & always on the move. I'm curious to see what others have to say!
  • Wow, that's a really drastic change...you may want to slowly aim for adding more protein into your diet. 100g a day would be plenty anyways- maybe just aim for that amount right now & see how you feel. You might be overdoing it on the protein & your body is letting you know!
  • Half! They are so expensive though- I gotta find one and register way ahead to save $.
  • I have heard that there is lower success rates with the new WW. It doesn't make sense to me that all fruits would be 0 pts. Bananas def. have a lot of calories. But it doesn't hurt to give it a try- and maybe if it doesn't work, just start counting fruit like for the old system.
  • You must have been doing something right to lose the 8 lbs in the first place...stick with that momentum and keep making healthy choices & exercise to keep your mind off food 24.7! You can do this! No one said it was easy. If that were the case, no one in america would be overweight!
  • You go girl!! This site is awesome and so easy to use. I've been recommending it to anyone I know who is looking for an effective and safe way to lose weight!
  • Hey girl, some people just aren't exercise fanatics and that's fine. But I feel like you can train yourself to love it over time. Find some type of exercise that you enjoy doing so it doesn't feel like a chore or work. Exercise classes, like zumba, kickboxing, or spinning, make working out fun. Maybe try to get a workout…
  • Chewing gum definitely helps. But yea, sugar is the devil. Once you have a little bit of sugar, then you start to crave it daily. It's really just all about breaking this vicious cycle. I know it's bad to deprive yourself of anything, but just say NO to sweets or designate one day when you will treat yourself. Also go…
  • I am assuming your problem is you don't eat ENOUGH...right?? Because your calories are always super low. Everyone has their issues with eating/ food, whether it's eating too much or not enough. It's really hard to find that balance. So just know that you are not alone!! But I think this site is really helpful in making…
  • My aunt and uncle are currently on WW. I can get exact details on points for you if you want, but what I heard from my aunt is that the whole system has changed and yeah, all fruits and veggies are 0 points. Are you not having an success with just keeping track of calories?
  • Warning: Running is addictive!!! Lol. Start out slow- practice makes perfect, just with everything else in life.
  • http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/215860-passover See this previous thread about passover- hope it helps!! It shouldn't affect your daily eating habits too much -- just cutting out the breads and carbs mostly! Breakfast is going to be hard for me because I live for my morning bowl of oatmeal. :( But other than that,…
  • So I'm also going to try to keep passover- although I'm a college student, so it's kinda of difficult to do sometimes. But my campus is really great about having kosher for passover options in the cafeteria. So here's the lo-down on passover- most of the food (cookies, cakes, etc.) that are available are high in calories…
  • Eating once a day sets you up to fail-- you wait til you're starving and you binge and eat a high calorie, high fat meal. And then, you gain weight. Eating throughout the day helps break that vicious cycle- it allows you to eat smaller portions and not wait until you're starving. Allow yourself to adjust to the new eating…
  • Hehe, i just saw it too....not a big fan of snickers though!
  • Very interesting!!! THANKS! Eat most of these anyways, but going to try to eat them more often!!
  • MFP's settings are high in carbs and low in protein. When I used their settings, I didn't lose weight. Then, I customized my settings to 45% carbs, 30% protein, and 25% fat. I have had great success with these settings/ my body def. responded to less carbs and more protein. A lot of my other friends on this site have the…
  • I also suffer from headaches/ migraines on and off- when they were really bad and wouldn't go away, I went to see a neurologist and he put me on meds. The medication helped & I was headache free - only thing was you had to take the pills every night b/c the dr. said you have to break the 'headache cycle.' Have you tried…
  • Go for the salad- the higher fat is prob. taking into account the dressing -- leave it off or just use a drizzle of it, then it will be a lot less fat!
  • Welcome welcome!!! Great to have you hear on this site- stick w/ it and you will see the results you have longed for!! Plus, you will be losing weight the healthy way!
  • I wouldn't focus on a specific number per say, just keep doing what you're doing and you body will level out on its own. Once you keep seeing consistent numbers on the scale, this is your body telling you it's at a good weight & wants to stay there!! Maybe aim for 120ish as a goal weight & see where time takes you. :)
  • I would set aside a couple servings of each kind for YOU and then give the rest away!! That's what I would do- because sugar is my downfall, once I have a little, I crave it everyday. But maybe just keep them stowed away in a place where you don't see them everyday & will forget about them/ only eat them when you crave…
  • Kickboxing!!
  • The reason that people gain weight when they stop smoking is b/c they switch from one addiction to another- replacing cigarettes w/ food!! I am currently taking an anatomy & physiology class & we looked at a smoker's lung slide- the whole lung was highly infected with tar & severely damaged- please do quit before this…
  • Dove dark chocolate promises- 1 a day!! Savor it!!! :D yuck to the smarties- not a chocolate substitute.
  • Wow, well that's a tough one! All i can say if you should be more open to trying new things because fruits and veggies are your friends in the game of weight loss & living a healthy lifestyle...There are a lot of products out there, like fruit and veggie smoothies for example, that are tasty and nutritious (Odwalla and…
  • Oh, I feel quite the opposotie- I feel like I don't even sweat on the elliptical! But maybe I don't have the resistance up enough. I love running, so I'm a treadmill person. I recommend you also try the AMT machine or the precor arc trainer. Great machines and in my opinion, harder than the elliptical.
  • Great article!!
  • I took a week off exercising when I had a cold- this is a rare occurence b/c I never take time to REST! I think that what many people don't stop and realize is that rest is just as important as exercise!!! The key to exercise is making it a part of your daily routine so you don't think twice about doing it. But listening…
  • I love doing any cardio machine while watching tv! It helps me zone out & the time passes by quickly. I had the best run the other day while watching a movie on the treadmill!
