I went to a water park yesterday and for the first time I could actually sit in the hole in the middle of the tube.

Although I have been logging my food the past couple weeks, I haven't been looking at the posts. I'll have to make it a point to do that more as I get lots of good ideas from you folks. My calories have been over my goal lately. At first, I thought to myself "What's an extra 50 calories?" But then that turned into 100,…

I never tried group classes because I didn't think I would be able to keep up. I exercise at home with either the Wii fit, the stationary bike, or walking my dogs.

My goal last week was to get on the stationary bike or elliptical 3 times. I made it for 2 on the bike. So my goal this week will be to get on the elliptical at least once. 3 positive things about me are: 1. I have a lot of patience and perseverance (read stubbornness), 2. I am fairly intelligent and good at figuring…

Italian - So sorry about your loss. They really are part of our families.

Those breadsticks get to me every time.

I am going to try the egg muffin cups. I never thought of freezing them for later . Good idea. My goal is to do either the exercise bike or elliptical 3 days this week.

Even though I was under my goal for today, I still ate too much junk food. I know I'm having pizza for dinner tomorrow so I am going to try to make better choices throughout the day.

Lots of times when I was stuck in traffic getting to work, I used to start eating my breakfast out of my lunch box. Then I would get to work and eat breakfast again. Now I take a small orange juice box along and I force myself to not eat anything else. I hope since I NEVER allow myself to do it, I will not fall back into…

I was happy that my 8-pound water weight gain from my busy weekend at the beach finally went away. I knew it was not a real gain because I tracked all my food and was under my goal. It just really stank seeing the number up so high and it took a week to come back down. I attribute it to overworked muscles and dehydration.…

Sorry I have been MIA the past few weeks. May is my hectic time of year. All my volunteer activities come to a head at this time of year and there is so much to get done all at the same time High: I really wanted another cupcake but it didn't fit in my calories so I didn't have it. Low: My mom is visiting and makes those…

I thought a couple times about trying C25K, but I'm afraid of injuring my knees or ankles. I plan to ask the doctor what she thinks the next time I go. I'm jealous of the 18 minute mile. I usually come in around 25. But I have dogs so we have to stop once in a while to ... what dogs do outside. So it brings up my average.…

My goal for this week is to ride the stationary bike at least once. I know it helps with the swelling in my legs, but I just haven't been doing it. Mini-goal: Someone at work brought in several boxes of donuts and I didn't have any. I didn't even want any. I figured it wasn't worth the 300 calories for a non-bakery donut.

Today my husband and I went to eat at a restaurant that we haven't gone to in years. It used to be one of our favorites, but I got too big to fit in the booths comfortably. Now after dropping loads of weight, the booths are no challenge to me any more. He kept saying, "This place is great. I wonder why we stopped coming…

Scout - It's great that you found a doctor that knows his business. They are so far and few between. Since I failed miserably at getting to bed on time again last week, I am going to sideline that goal for a while. I'm pretty sure I already eat fruits and vegetables at every meal, but I will try to be more conscious of…

The first time I got pregnant I was 270 and the second time I was 300. I didn't have any health issues before I got pregnant and didn't have any during. I actually ate better while I was pregnant because I was worried about getting the right nutrients to the baby. It's funny that I never cared about what I ate for myself,…

Since I bombed on my goal of getting to bed by 9:30 again last week, I am making it my goal once more. For exercise, I do walking, stationary bike, or Wii U Fit. I attempt the elliptical once in a while, but I can't do it very long.

I started at BMI 56, so I know where you are coming from. I am now around BMI 44. Trust me - once you start losing weight, you will fee SO much better. Just don't forget how you feel now. That will be your motivating factor when you want to binge. You will never want to get back to this place again.

In the past couple weeks I have already eaten a whole pack of Reese's eggs and probably 1/2 bag of jelly beans. The difference is that in the past I would have eaten it all in one day. I just fit it into my day a little at a time. I don't think I will eat any differently on Sunday than I do on any other day. Mostly veggies…

I only met my goal of bed by 9:30 once last week. But I did get to bed by 10:00 every night and I wasn't so tired at work. I get up at 5:00 in the morning. Even on my days off I get up early, because my dogs think we should. So I'm making it my goal again this week - bed by 9:30. Mini-goal: I have been going on college…

It helps me to prelog my food for the whole day in the morning so I can see how much room I have for snacks, or if I'm going to be over, see where I can cut back.

Seeing everyone else's sleep-related goals reminds me that my sleep hasn't been the greatest lately. So my goal for this week is to get to bed by 9:30. 9:00 would be ideal, but I'll work on 9:30 and see how that goes. I already do the mini-goal every day. Either the day before or first thing in the morning. That way, I…

My goal for this week is to exercise at least 1/2 hour every day. I might try to get back on the elliptical that has been collecting dust in my basement.
-
At least once a week, when I am exercising I can do something that I haven't been able to do before. And it feels amazing!
-
I hit 100 total miles on my stationary bike.
-
I had girl scout cookies for breakfast and then again for lunch.

I was thinking the same thing. I would like to try it but I'm worried about my knees.

Italian_Buju - I have come to realize that when I have those days where I'm absolutely starving all day long means that a couple pound weight loss is about to happen. It seems that my body is trying to tell me that if I don't eat more, it will have to give up a couple pounds. Knowing that is what helps me get through the…
