  • That's awesome! I've been doing a lot of walking recently with the idea of starting to run in about a month when it warms up. Never been a huge runner, but one of my goals is to run a 5k this summer. This just gives me more motivation.
  • Just got mine set up. Looking forward to it...I'm a data junkie! https://www.fitbit.com/user/374LM5
  • Hey everybody. Just got my fitbit zip set up last night. Looking forward to this...I'm a data junkie! https://www.fitbit.com/user/374LM5
  • I had a gig with my band this past weekend. The last time I had worn that dress shirt, I couldn't button the top button and had to hide the fact with my tie. Saturday night, I was able to button the top button, and ended up having extra room!
  • Anyone is more than welcome to add me. 27 year old, trying to lose to meet Army height/weight requirements. I'm a musician and looking to audition for various military bands when they have openings, but they won't allow you to audition if they think you're gonna die in boot camp!
  • You can feel free to add me. I'm looking to lose about 70 more pounds (attempting to meet the Army height/weight requirements). I would also suggest switching from the soda to flavored seltzer water, that stuff is great!
  • 27 here. Feel free to add me.
  • I'm pretty lucky when it comes to this. On one side is a Five Guys burger place. But on the other side there's a Zoe's Kitchen and a SaladWorks. Both of those places are delicious so I don't have to be tempted by Five Guys.
  • That's awesome! Congrats! I hope to be in the same position some day in the future. The smallest I've ever been since I turned 18 is a size 38 as well...I'm now a 42. 34-36 is my goal.
  • I'm a school teacher so my Monday-Thursday is pretty much always the same. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings are a different story because I help run a wedding/dance band and we are gigging alot of the time. Those nights are pretty nuts because we don't have a ton of time to eat between lugging in all of the gear,…
  • On Thursday evenings, my girlfriend and I plan our dinners for the following week. We make a list of the things that we would need to make those dinners, and when we go to the grocery store we stick to the list. This has helped us immensely because we're cooking our own healthier food and saving money at the same time! The…
  • Practicing moderation should actually be easier with fast food places. If you want a burger and small fries, go order it and that's it. Don't pay for anything else. Not only will you eat as much, but your wallet will thank you too. Just make it fit within your calorie goal. I drive long distances to go home (CT) or to my…
  • Yes! It's something that I hated about growing up in CT and going to school in upstate NY. Even coming in from shoveling snow and my skin would be itchy and I'd start to burn up. Moving to Virginia I don't really have to do deal with it too much, and if it does get cold, I don't go outside and just exercise in the house.
  • Congrats! I recently had something similar with moving to a new belt notch! It's a great feeling.
  • Awesome! I have about 90-100 lbs to lose and hope when all is said and done, my results look as good as yours!
  • I recently joined (about a month ago) and have been looking for the same thing. I'm 26, way overweight, and have been basically obsessed with this site/logging since I joined. I was even able to convince my girlfriend to start logging with me. I have been becoming more active in the forums and groups as I get more…
  • My girlfriend and I give ourselves one cheat day (one meal) per week. Tonight is that night for us, we're going out for sushi, which will definitely be high calories. I still plan on being within my limit, but even if I do go over slightly, I'll still end up losing weight. I've been at this for exactly one month, and have…
  • At 1.5 lbs/week, you're actually not too far from where you would be if weight loss was linear. 1.5 lbs/week is essentially 6 pounds a month, which for 7 months would be 42 lbs...so 34 lbs is still excellent. My girlfriend and I usually eat the same things for breakfast and lunch every day (so long as we wake up on time…
  • I have a Trader Joes right down the street and my girlfriend and I love that place.
  • If I were you, I would buy it to fit me now since it can always be altered at a later time. No point in buying a suit that doesn't fit properly/comfortably. Congrats on losing 25lbs already!
  • I have a 32oz refillable bottle. I try to drink at least 3 of those per day, so at least 96 oz.
  • I go as simple as possible with sweet potatoes. Oven at 450 degrees, skin on, holes poked into them with a fork. Bake for 45-55 minutes depending on how big they are. Cut open, put a little cinnamon on and done!
  • 26 here. Just started really using this site a couple of weeks ago and have been having some pretty good success so far. Anybody can feel free to add me.
  • I weigh myself daily, but only use Friday's weight to record. I'm in the early stages of my weight loss journey and am really interested to see if any sort of patterns develop, ie "if I drink x amount of water, it has this type of effect on my weight". I'm just super analytical in general. While I'm interested in possible…
  • Anyone feel free to add me, the more support the better. I'm looking at just about 100lbs that I want to lose. Started: 288lbs, Current: 280lbs (in 11 days!), Goal: 190lbs
  • That's amazing. I just showed my girlfriend your pictures since we are doing our own weight loss journey together. Hopefully we will be as successful as you've been!
  • Hi all. I'm living in Reston and am a public school teacher in PG county. I can use all of the support I can get since I am embarking on a long weight loss journey. Down 5lbs, and another 85 or so to go. Feel free to add me!
  • I'm in Reston, about 20 miles west of DC. Originally from Connecticut, went to school in upstate NY, and have been in this area since 2010. Feel free to add me.
