  • Ok, ok, ok there are way too many of us "crazy" ladies here. Someone needs to start a group so we all be friends all together. I don't know how. Does someone here know how to start a group? We could decide on a cute name together and all be in one place. Anyone interested?
  • YOUR DOING GREAT! I've loss 62 lbs. ( yeah) but sometimes I get bummed/depressed when I think about the other 110 left I have to lose. I've learned a few tricks to over come those feelings to stay motivated. I try to concentrate on the success so far and not what's left, I think about my ultimate goal is getting and being…
  • Congrats on the 48.8. Good job!
  • Amen to that! It took me years of losing and gaining to learn this truth. There are certain foods I don't eat on a regular basis. Ones that I love too much and consider trigger foods. But, when I do eat them and go off my program (sometimes a bit and sometimes too much) I've learn to enjoy them, let go of any quilt, and…
  • My new favorites. They have 6 different ones to choose from.
  • Hi, Nance, I've been here since Jan 2016. I've loss 63 lbs and MFP has never adjusted my calorie intake. That would really make me mad. MFP will set your calorie goal automatically when you join, but you can go into your settings and change that amount, along with your other amounts manually . For example, I changed mine…
  • Welcome. You will love it here! Of course like everything in life, you will get out of it as much as you put into it. So jump right in. Ask questions, vent, encourage others as they encourage you. I was in WW for years for years. The program works, but I think you will enjoy the freedom you'll feel using MFP. Good luck.
  • 1200 cal a day, 75 g carbs 25 g sugar. I try to make healthy choices, but pretty much eat what I want, as long as don't go over those numbers. Most important thing I've learn is if I eat something off program, too much, or binge, I get right back on it and keep going forward.
  • With years of dieting, gaining, dieting, I've finally got it through my thick head. The only answer when you eat off your program, binge, or just eaten too much, is to just "get right back on it". Put it behind you, forgive yourself, and go forward. Guilt and thinking about it will just cause you to eat more and maybe give…
  • Hello, low carb is different for everyone. The Atkins diet says to start with 20 g. I did that for years, but now that Iam older, Iam working at being healthy and not just skinny anymore. I eat a 1200 cal diet, try to stay around 70-90 carbs, and my sugars around 25 g. I feel so much better physically if I watch my carbs…
  • What is your carb allowance? Without knowing what carbs you are eating, makes it hard to give you alternatives.
  • What is your carb allowance?
  • I agree, msskarne's remark was not encouraging and a bit rude, but I think rob's advise was the best: " Don't worry, it's all good, you just let it go and move on" . Iam writing that one down. Thanks rob.. Yes, you will probably gain. Wheather its extra water weight or just plain weight from the extra food you ate. If you…
  • Welcome back. You can do this. Just pick your calorie amount and track "everything" you eat into MFP. I've loss 60 lbs with MFP since Jan 4th of this year. I still have 112 lbs yet to lose. I eat 1200 cal a day, eat mostly anything I want (I just work it within my 1200 and try to choose healthier choices ), drink lots of…
  • "Dito" to that fishshark. Thought that remark was a bit snarky for this website. We're all different, but are suppose to be here to help each other.
  • You Go Girl! Welcome back. You can do this!
  • I too agree calling them a "free day" or "free meal". I don't do them very often because I can't always trust myself with them. I use them mostly when I want to go out with my husband, or friend, or special occasion and enjoy a certain kind of food that doesn't quite fit into my daily calories. For example mexican, pizza,…
  • What amazing beautiful big eyes you have. So happy for you, keep up the good work.
  • I've loss 57 lbs since Jan 4th. I still have 110 lbs to go to reach my final goal weight of 150 lbs. But, my biggest goal is to KEEP IT OFF this time. So tired of all these years of dieting and gaining. Iam over it!!!! I am finally making the lifestyle changes to make it happen. We ALL CAN DO THIS
  • I love this app. If I don't know something, I look up a few different versions of the item in the data base and pick one of the ones where the calories are closest to each one another. Ex: if I have spaghetti at a friend's home. I may look up Olive Gardens, another restaurant, and maybe a few MFP members homemade recipes…
  • The more you go without the sugar, the more the cravings will let up. The more you feed the monster, the more it stays alive.
  • Sooooo jealous. But, Happy for you.
  • Very un - motivating. I get depressed when I see fat pictures of myself. Heck, I get deppressed looking in the mirror. Why would I want to put that on my refrigerator. Not much hope in that. I usually try to find a picture of someone's body in a catalog or magazine (of course something realistic and achievable for my body…
  • Also to all those who have fur babies. :)
  • I also have had hypothyroidism since I was a teen. The best thing a doctor ever advised me on my weight gain was: "Yes, it does slow the metabolism down, but the only way you actually get fat is what you put in your mouth", and its true. Its helped me not to use it as an excuse not to lose weight thru the years. So we have…
  • Eat the cheese. As long as you don't have a problem binging on it. Weigh it and work it into your calories. I eat cheese everyday.
  • I am in Iowa
