I don't think anything external can truly make a person happy, and yes i believe our body is external. But i do believe that getting in shape and treating your body with respect brings a person a self respect and belief in there abilities that makes them happier within themselves. I don't know if that makes a lick of sense…

I actually find exercise gives me the motivation to eat properly and as such it keeps me honest. Once i realized how long a bad day can cost me in the gym or on the treadmill, when i am considering making a bad choice, its usually enough to think about the consequences of exercise to work it off.
