  • This evening I am hoola hooping whilst listening to my favourite radio show - I have also walked lots today, so feel good!
  • I'd like to join you. For me the exercises that I enjoy are: running (cross country where possible) walking/hiking hoola hooping horse-riding swimming gardening trampoline exercise (just discovered this with my nephew - exhausting but fun!) pilates cycling Thanks for making me think about the exercises I love doing, I had…
  • I would love to join if I'm not too late. It sounds fab!
  • Well done everyone and thanks for the support along the way. My points this week were 148 and although I've only lost a couple of pounds throughout the challenge it has highlighted to me where my strengths and weaknesses are.
  • Sorry for being late! My points were 200, which reflected the increased amount of exercise. I lost a pound too, which was a nice bonus!
  • I had a good day today, a lovely long walk in the sunshine and I managed to resist the sweet stuff. My points for the week are 170, next week I intend to increase my running and try out some new exercises with a friend, maybe that will shift the stubborn pounds! Hope everyone has had a good weekend.
  • My daughter bought me 6 walnut whips, and they are my all time favourite. That's blown my chances of a sugar free weekend. I feel like I am trying really hard only to keep my weight stable at the moment. As I am in my fifties and have only a relatively small amount to lose I know it is going to be hard and I am trying not…
  • Sorry to cause alarm with the Mothers Day comment! I didn't realise it is a different day in the US. I hope everyone has a healthy week, in every way!
  • Sweet things have been my downfall this week, starting with meetings with cake and then Mothers Day to finish it off, my points were 164. I've lost some motivation, and wish I could have more will power.
  • My points for the week are 187. I had a great week but a dreadful day today, I seemed to hit the self-destruct button. However my weight is back to my pre-holiday weight so I am ready to start afresh next week. Hope everyone else has had a good weekend.
  • I know that feeling. I used to fight it but now I give in, allow myself a weekend daytime nap for an hour or so and refuse to feel guilty about it. I get back to normal much quicker by allowing myself that catch up. I am fortunate to have grown up kids so I can please myself at weekends, I appreciate it is not so easy for…
  • 'Getting started' is my exercise downfall too. Half my battle is getting changed into the gear and walking through the door, then I am fine. I too get home in the dark and that puts me off running, which is my exercise of choice, as it is pretty dark around our rural roads. For me the only guaranteed exercise I do is when…
  • Homemade veg soup with a bit of curry paste for a kick is one of my favourites. I always make a huge pot of it at the weekend and it is great for lunch or a quick meal. I love veg, as I have said before!
  • Sunday again - that came around quickly. My scores are not so good this week - 146 points and I gained 2 pounds - but at least I am still a little lighter than when I started the challenge and a holiday week was always going to be tricky! I have enjoyed my week off and eaten some yummy food as well as having some much…
  • Thanks for your support - it makes it easier to hear I am not alone in my struggles! Today I ended up spending the whole day at work (despite being on holiday) and although that was not ideal it has taken me back to my normal routine which might be good for my food intake. Have a good weekend everyone.
  • I'm really struggling, being on holiday is lovely but the temptation to have sweet things and alcohol is so much greater, plus my activity levels are so much less when I'm not at work. I don't think my points are going to help the team much this week! At least I have had my fruit and veg, that for me is easy because I love…
  • Hope everyone is having a good week. Having been away I feel nice and relaxed, but I haven't been tracking my food very well and have probably been eating way more than I should! I intend to stick to all the good stuff for the rest of the week. I agree that the challenge is about knowing when to be strictly tracking and…
  • I'm away from home and have enjoyed a celebration with family, so I am off plan but have still lost a pound this week and clocked up 181 points, which feels good.
  • It's going Ok here, glad to have got to Friday and next week I am on holiday, which will be lovely. Just spiralised a load of veg for tea, they look pretty! Exercise has been impossible the last few days with long days and evening meetings - sigh.
  • Smoothies sound very delicious. I came home to a dinner with 4 veg, which my lovely husband had cooked - courgette, broccoli, carrots and cauliflower! As I had salad for lunch and fruit at breakfast I feel full of goodness! I find the water harder because it is cold here at the moment and I want to drink tea or coffee. I…
  • Well done BJ, I sometimes think that it would be easier to complete this sort of challenge living alone as cooking for others does put temptation in the way! I cooked pancakes for loads of people today, it is the only day we really eat pancakes in England. By keeping busy with the making I avoided eating any without any…
  • Thanks Becky
  • Happy Monday! We have gales at the moment and the power is off and on and off and on and off and on... you get the idea. I had a zumba class after work, MFP would give me about 450 exercise cals whereas my Garmin wristband only thinks I have earnt 220 extra calories, which includes the zumba plus walking over 14,000 steps…
  • I have a vegetable box delivered every week, it is different each time so I have been forced to try all sorts of new veg. I have started using a spiraliser so that I can make veg noodles to replace higher carb items like pasta or rice. A good mixture always goes down well with the family. I would say be adventurous!
  • My points for this week are 188. The food side of the challenge has gone really well this week, next week I need to get in a bit more exercise. I have lost 2lb which is good as I set my goal on mfp as losing 1lb a week. I have a sneaking feeling that next week might be a bit harder!
  • It's the weekend! I have decided to allow myself some wine tonight and maybe even some 70% dark chocolate! I always weigh on a Saturday morning and have lost 2lb this week, which feels very good as I have been struggling since Christmas. Thank you Jen for starting this challenge it is really helping me stay on track and…
  • Thanks for the happy Thursday greetings. I had quite a good day, had some craving for chocolate after work but managed to content myself with a rice cake and cottage cheese - which avoided the slippery slope of the sugar rush!
  • Meal planning is getting easier in my home, we too have a weekly schedule of types of meals and now that my children are grown up there are no picky eaters to cater for - hoorah! I have managed to get family members cooking and that saves me grazing in the kitchen as I prepare the meal. For me the key is having loads of…
  • Had a very a very special and emotional day at work, this can be a danger time for me, so I am keeping busy, off to pilates tonight, which I don't think burns many calories, but is a great relaxer. Hope the poorly little one gets better soon Becky.
  • You are a star Becky, thanks for taking the team leader role. Here in the UK the evening is upon us and I am feeling really positive about a sensible day of eating, lots of walking and a zumba session squeezed into a full day of work. I track exercise calories using a Garmin wrist band and it doesn't give me anywhere near…
