  • WTG.......! Those pounds have a way of creeping up over time.....Congratulations!
  • If you like fish, swai is a good choice....besides being inexpensive, it's mild and has a nice texture....80 calories and 21 gms of protein per 4 oz. Most filets are about 8 ounces...Tastes great baked with lemon and a little butter....I even splurge now and then and bread the filets,,,,42 GMS of protein.....yehaw!
  • I agree with you about weighing foods. It's amazing how we can under estimate what we put in our mouths, and wonder why we are not making any progress. I bought a food scale in December, and I love it. Measuring cups are, also, my best friends. Healthy diets are such a science, and food affects our bodies in many complex…
  • I had my gallbladder out many, many years ago(27). I eat whatever I want. Since I've been on a healthier but diverse diet on MFP(from October 2013), I still eat everything, but limit refined sugar, and trans fats, but have not eliminated anything. I eat lots of berries, nuts, and a moderate amount of good carbs. Good…
  • You have had an AMAZING weight loss...keep up the good work.....you're one of those MFP people that inspire us all... .thanks for the tip about the squash....! Our electric rate is so high around here I was trying to conserve energy by using the microwave oven.

And spaghetti squash is good alone in a cheesy casserole, adding spinach, onions, garlic, or other vegetables. There is probably more than one way to prepare the squash, but this is the way I prepare it.…
  • Haha...I was thinking the same thing......everything comes around again....so save the clothes unless they are "BIG" clothes!
  • You're right.....making lifestyle changes rather than "being on a diet".... is the right frame of mind
  • You are right....and MFP tells us how many calories we should consume to lose and/or to maintain our weight...it's not rocket science. .Each one of us has different requirements. It's a life long commitment. I'm amazed at how quickly the calories rack up in a day! MFP is a great tool to keep a diary of food intake. ::smile:
  • You look amazing! Thank you for sharing your story. I love MFP....I'm a 66 year old(recently retired from nursing) who has been told I look younger than I am....I have about 20 more pounds to go to reach my goal. I'm in no hurry. I've already lost 11 pounds, and feel amazing. It's people like you that inspire the rest of…
