I heard all the same things. I too am 5'10" started at 214 am now at 153 - I am still hearing daily "you don't need to lose weight - you are going to be way too thin" .. however I am still a size 8 and know where my problem areas are, clothes and height just hide them well! The key is to reach a weight where you feel good…

I've actually found my social life has just changed - my friends circle has shifted some to people who prefer to go out for a hike or pack a picnic to go to a winery, instead of people who want to hang out at the bar or burger joint all the time. I see it as a positive as I'm spending more time with people who have similar…

I had the flex - I loved it, but wanted something I could wear every day - and putting on a dress with that on my arm looked funny - so I switched to the one which i love because I can hide it (clip it to my bra) and still measure my steps for the day. Plus having it on my body instead of my arm I find it doesn't count…

I keep mio at work - tons of great flavors and options and with a tiny bit you add just enough flavor to keep it interesting :)

If you really love food you can enjoy experimenting with new healthy ingredients and options to make yummy meals that fit into a lower calorie plan. You don't have to survive on air ;) !

Ok your Mom has her own issues she needs to work out, I personally don't think you should stand for that crap, but if you are going to then you need to keep calling her out when she is being negative... it's not healthy. Also curious - how tall are you? Your weight from your ticker is definitely not "big"!

Just add it as a new exercise - call is 30DS or whatever you want to call it - to calculate roughly without a HRM 30 day shred calorie burn - 3.267 calories burnt per pound every hour. Multiply by weight to get how many calories per hour you would burn and divide by 3 to get each 20 minute work out. ~ taken from Jillian…

So confused by the "becomes too easy" comments... LOL. Mine has about 10 different workout settings aside from the custom one, 20 resistance levels and 20 incline levels. I LOVE IT! My spine surgeon told me it is a great way to workout without the impact that treadmills or road running do. I use mine 5/6 days a week for…

They say it takes roughly 10 for you to notice, 20 for people you live with, 30 family/close friends and 40 for everyone else. If you are feeling better about yourself and your body though that should be all the boost you need! Plus the faster they notice you lose weight the faster they would notice you gain a couple of…

Yup this... your fitbit is guessing purely based on your steps which while helpful over a whole day of just regular activities will not give you much of an accurate reading for anything that gets your heart rate up and gets those extra calorie burns. Your HRM is the only good guide for what you are burning during workouts…

You are my new best friend... LOL. I would guess 105 for you.

Way to go - you look great! All your hard work has clearly paid off!!

Thank you so, so much everyone - I didn't expect to get so much positive feedback. You are all wonderful :flowerforyou: I got a bunch of private messages asking what I did/am doing to lose weight in my journey, so although it might not be for everyone I figured I would just post it here for those interested. I do log…

Thanks everyone! You are all so kind! el_barretto - yup I actually bought the dress a couple of months in at banana republic as something to hang in my closet and work towards. Since that fits now I am ordering some size 8 skinny jeans today to be my next "goal"!

Hot mamma! Way to go my MFP friend - I am so impressed, keep up the great work and continuing rocking that fit bod

Just an idea - I would start with YouTube - Jillians 30DS as well as a multitude of her other workout videos have level 1 posted on there. It will give you a good idea as to whether it is something you want to continue with. That is where I started, now I have about 6 of her DVDs and I alternate them to give me a good 5-6…

Yup what they said! I actually do have a shake most days for breakfast because it is quick, easy, yummy and I can take it to go after my workout. That being said - I make my shakes with "real people food", some fruit, nuts, non fat greek yogurt, almond milk and protein powder and there you go. The options for flavors are…

Yeah anyone who wants to help you is going to need to see your food diary - because based on the info you provided you should be losing 6-8 lbs a month pretty easily.
