Open your diary :)

The glare in the first photo made it hard for me to tell if you had a wedding ring on. So I kept looking, and in the second photo, there was none! I don't think you need to lose weight, just gain confidence :).

why why why?

Jesus can eat 1200 calories and gain weight.
-
You can also use METS to estimate calories. When I am on the cross trainer I am at METS of about 7-7.5. So I plug in 7 cals per minute (far far less than what the machine gives me). When I am jogging I am at 10 METS. Walking is about 3.5-4 for me.

Yep you can do it! Definitely get properly fitted for shoes... and make sure you give your bones, knees, ligaments and muscles plenty of time to recover. Don't rush through the program, don't run back to back days, and don't be tempted to run fast.
-
Oh my God - you are so inspiring!
-
Awesome! I can't run in my workout tights anymore because they keep falling down. Woot!

A 5'5 woman aiming for 100 lbs and 1000 cals a day .... not buying it :)
-
Thanks :) I guess it doesn't matter too much day to day, I'll forget about the daily stuff and just aim for weekly goals.
-
Thanks - can I reset it to be 1000 mg per 1000 calories or something like that?
-
The OP corrected what was obviously an error in calculating the weight. Perhaps you should read the thread before replying ;) I hear it helps with comprehension.

Did you lose a lot of it in the first week or two? It was likely a fair amount of water that you lost with the fat. Congrats :)
-
That would be you.

After reviewing your diary, I change my mind. I'm not interested in helping trolls. A 5'5" woman weighing 120 lbs, aiming for 100 lbs, eating 1000 calories a day doesn't need help. What is it, school holidays? I wish the trolls would p*** off and leave this place.

Are you doing a lot of cardio? Read some science journals :). Cardio causes hunger much more severe than weight lifting does, and that might contribute towards your binging. All things in moderation.
-
ARe you going by the numbers on the plates? On the machines at my gym, each plate is numbered 1-15, but each plate is 5 kgs, not 1 kg. So "3"= 15 kgs.

It will also depend on the course and the weather. I recently ran a 10 km, in the dark (well... we had moonlight, and a headlamp), a few hours after rain (so the ground was very very soft, and my runners quickly became mud cased bricks), up a mountain (often too steep to walk, and we were hoisting ourselves up using tree…

Are you doing your cardio before weights? If you do too much cardio immediately before weights you deplete your glycogen stores and can't (usually) lift as heavy.

MFP's sugar limit is ridiculously low, eat whatever you want.
-
I had a week off to concentrate on a 10 km running race, so I'm starting week 4 tomorrow. I'm awful at lunges - anyone else???
-
I made it! I can't believe it! So proud right now. Thanks for all the support.
-
I plan on graduating tonight if the weather permits it :) doing a 10 km fun run but I'll walk the second half.
-
I still find it hard to believe that is real tabata. Can push ups get your VO2 max to 170%

It's so exciting to have so many women start with me! If the weights are too light, I'd add a plate or a few kgs and try again next workout. I used a trainer in my first session to help me figure out an appropriate weight. I was really going too light on the step ups - started at 7 kgs each hand for some reason (I think I…

How tall are you? Unfortunately, the above poster is correct. 1kg / week is really only sustainable when you have a LOT of weight to lose. You might be able to lose 4-5 kgs in that time though :)
-
4 minutes? Isn't that a bit long for tabata? That sounds like more traditional intervals to me :) If you are new to exercising you might want to start with a more gentle form of HIIT, intervals. Run 1 min as fast as you can, walk 2 minutes. Repeat 10 times. Over time you can reduce the rest periods from 2 minutes down to…

Try the GOMAD diet? (Gallon of milk a day) The protein in milk will help you feel fuller :)

nvm

Congrats on losing more water, fat and muscle. If you are eating lower sodium, or lower carbs, then you lost a stack of water weight. You simply cannot lose 4.4 lbs of fat in a week unless you had a deficit of 15400 calories in a week. That's a deficit of more than 2000 per day. Sorry, but you just ain't a special…
