All I can say is, reading this blog made me happy. I don't feel so alone with my quirky shameful habits. I will admit that I have entered food into MFP, saw the calorie count, and tried to find a new entry for that item with lower calories even though I know that I'm just throwing caution to the wind.

I have about 80 - 100 to go yet, but have lost 57. Here is some basic advice. -Don't look at it as a 100 lbs, break it into more manageable chunks like 10 - 20 and reward yourself when you reach each goal. It's better if it is not a food reward. - Allow yourself to have a cheat day or meal once in awhile. It gives you…

Wonderful! Thank you.

Wow. Congrats!

Definitely cheese. I'm from Wisconsin after all.

I don't know too much about the prescriptions for weight loss, are you able to use them again to at least get started? I have never taken anything, simply because it's not an option my doctor has discussed with me. Sometimes I think I would try just about anything if I thought it would help at all. The last time I was at…

Oh boy... can I relate!! 5 years ago I lost 93lbs, only 7 lbs away from 100, but I still had a good 50 more to go. I too looked so much better, felt better, was getting tons of compliments, and had really gotten the hang of eating well and working out. And then, well I am not really sure where the derailment began, but I…

You don't look like you need to lose 150 lbs. I am just getting back in the swing of things. I had lost 90 lbs, but then gained a bunch back. Trying to get back on track and would like to lose about 100 lbs. myself. Good luck to you, and Shannon is right, we need to celebrate the victories as much as the big. It is a very…

For a year before I was diagnosed, I chastised myself for being lazy, because I was tired all the time and did not feel like doing anything. When they showed me that my thyroid had grown to 30 times it's normal size and had ceased functioning, I started to believe maybe there was something more to it. When they finally…

I have no thyroid, it was removed 8 years ago because it had become a goiter. I have to be on medication for life, and as long as I keep an eye on it, and take my medication, it does not affect my ability to lose weight. If you are not seeing a doctor, and not on medication now, I would highly recommend that you make an…

This is really good advice. Rome wasn't built in a day, so don't expect to get on track all in a day. Start out slow and make small changes. And don't beat yourself up for falling off the wagon. Focus instead on those couple of good days. They still count towards having overall better health. Keep trying, never give up!

Ahhhh, now I truly get it. Lodro keeps mentioning leanagains. Essentially his posts to this blog is advertising leanagains, which is a website that will get you to subscribe to their methods, for a FEE. That's why he is poo pooing the known, tried and true methods, he's being paid to do so. It's all an effort to get us to…

Study? Hmmm explains a lot. BTW: the doctor we spoke to is an expert in nutrition and sports medicine. Pretty sure he knows what he is talking about.

Agression? You have the nerve to question my Doctors schooling, but I am the agressor? Interesting. If you are in a "special" category and decide to use a radical plan to lose weight, that is certainly your perogative. I am merely cautioning those of us in the "usual" category against trying radical methods employed by…

Ruby70 - Careful with lodros idea of intermittent fasting! I am far from an expert in any of this, so if you want real advice I would speak with Doctors or nutritionists. However, I have lost 95 lbs, so I think I know a little. I can tell you that fasting/starvation is NOT the answer. Been there done that, it has the…

Thanks hon, my thoughts about him exactly..... Is he a doctor?

I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, I do that too. Just be sure you are giving your body some fuel periodically thru out the day. That helps the body release actual fat, instead of hanging on to it for fuel. A doctor told my husband that recently. It helps in losing belly fat especially.

Try my new favorite instead. Sara Lee Whole Grain, only has 45 calories per slice and it is chockful of whole grains. Plus it is super soft and completely delicious. I used to only eat white breads and since starting to eat whole grains I have found white bread to be quite bland. My hubby agrees it's the best bread we've…

Any of the Skinny Cow treats are really good and they don't kill your diet. Off to have a Caramel Truffle bar right now!

I am still in if you will have me. This weeks weight is 250.2 :( Thanksgiving got me, but next week will be much better.

last week: 249.6 today: 248 team green!

Don't give up hon! I have been stuck more times than I can tell you, it will pass. Try eating some different things if you tend to eat the same stuff day in and day out. Also, I don't know why this works but if you can trust yourself to get back on the wagon, take a few days or a week off. Yes you may gain but once you get…

 Awesome job! You look great! Keep it up.

Both look fantastic on you so either way you will look great, but I think my favorite is the blue. Have fun!!

I have lost 86 pounds and am having similar issues. I hadn't attributed it to the weight loss, so this is very interesting!!

My screen name is lfafnis, my current weight is 253. I believe I am on the green team. Off to exercise off some weight. GL everyone!!

Hang in there. Plateau's are very frustrating, but you just have to keep going! Sometimes it helps to cheat a little to get thru a plateau. It's strange but it does help. Good luck!

What the heck! I'm in a Biggest Loser Competition at work too that just started this week. I'm determined to win that, so it can't hurt to have even more motivation. Please count me in. Losing slowly is much better for you so nobody should feel pressured to lose tons! Just do the best you can for yourself!
