Sales pitch, definitely. Sounds like you have a healthy approach already.

Most vegetables and a lot of fruits. I make smoothies which are low calorie, there a lots of recipes online. Air popped popcorn gives a lot of crunchiness for low calories. Make sure to eat enough fat but of high quality...nuts, avocado, olive oil. Wild salmon, etc. You still have to watch calories, but these fats are…

Wow, that must have been devastating. I'm sorry to hear about you losing your home.

I would try a week of extremely careful logging. You might need more consistency with food, calories and quality, in order to lose. And, have a nutritionist look at your protein. Are you doing lots of lifting? The protein seems a little high, but maybe that's me.

If I were that woman, I would have taken offense to someone trying to tell me how to do this "the right way." In my 20s, I lifted regularly and was in fantastic shape, 30s exercised frequently, early 40s, lifted again, with lots of cardio. Then I had to make a lot of job and personal changes, and unfortunately, I was…

Congratulations, now that's success on so many levels! I think it's a great example of the benefits of weight loss, even when you still want to lose more. Great job! Take a bow!

Maybe this is your answer, you feel out of control and the eating habits you describe reflect that feeling, rather than the other way around. I agree with another poster, that talking it through with a counselor might help. Couldn't hurt, right?

13...happy with that, would also welcome more. Just depends.

What you don't know about some thin people is that they are very self-conscious about their weight. My son has always been very thin and is not that interested in food. He sometimes has to be reminded to eat, because he just forgets. He also has a very good internal system that tells him when to stop: he can eat four bites…

We all do it, overthink, overdo, whatever you want to call it. You've started. Be kind to yourself. You CAN do it.

Soda. Soda. Soda. It was in the beginning, as it shall be in the end.

Go somewhere you're not likely to go again soon...that you think you'd really enjoy.

Well, it depends. And, if you use celebrity crushes as an example, I can appreciate David Beckham and Jeff Garlin (from Curb Your Enthusiam). Two very different types, attractive for different reasons.

Fantastic job! You look great and your hard work shows.

I do simple things, walks, hanging out with family. I like my job well enough. But, I think the thing is, sometimes I want to have something big to look forward to even though I enjoy the little things. So, I've been thinking about planning a trip. I have to renew my passport, so I might just do that this summer and start…

Not quite 50...49 and counting down..I've been at this a while and need a breakthrough! Friend me if you like, as I'm always looking to exchange ideas and offer (and receive some) support.

Try to incorporate monounsaturated fats -- nuts, avocado, olive oil, etc. How about smoothies? You can make great ones with all fruit.

Great job! I love the way you describe your journey, which applies to so many of us -- not just physical but emotional, too. Thank you for sharing, and you are a true inspiration!

My husband and I are starting C25k in the next week. I was surprised that he said he wants to run a 5k in the fall. I don't like running at all, but I pretty much love sports and competing, so we're going to try it together. Plus if you run, you can start your kids later on.

Great job so far! It IS hard sometimes not to compare, but try to remember how far you've come. I don't post pictures here, but I have my own before/after pics on my computer, to remind me. I've lost 34 lbs but over a long period of time (3 years) and no one really notices at work, or anywhere. But I am much healthier, and…

If you break a sweat, it's cardio. Doesn't matter if you're doing downward dog, or scrubbing the floors.

That stinks. I can see why you're angry. It's not easy just to let it go...why not post some signs with a small reward? Someone honest might notice that someone else in their family / apartment has a mysterious new Kindle.

My husband is a constant reader. Our house is overflowing (I love to read, too). My father always made time to read. He was a hardworking man, but he always read on the weekends. My mother, on the other hand, was not an avid reader, although she enjoyed it sometimes. My husband's father and brothers are also big readers.…

Great job...you're an inspiration and you really look like two different people in the pics. How do you feel? It must be fantastic!

Tonight, I didn't lie exactly, but I ate after midnight, some real junk -- oreos and coke, and cheese and crackers. Instead of logging it for Thursday, since it was after midnight, I logged as a Friday snack, which is technically true, but usually I don't snack until later in the day. But I've logged in for 190 days and…

My husband is my husband. He really would NOT like being called a "hubby" and I don't think it would apply to him anyway. If he called me "wifey" I would fall out of my chair, it would be so out of character for him.
